Pep: 'The players deserve a full stadium, we need our fans!'

Yep, because UEFA would never again introduce a regulation designed to benefit the elite clubs would they?

Of course they would. That's not the point.

It's not giving in its knowing when it's the right time to stop. Do you really think that booing UEFA in 5 years time will change anything? Prople know. Point made.

Unfair comment, in my opinion. The manager is just doing his thing, in his style, on the touchline. He's not asking the camera's to focus on him, nor going out of his way to make sure he's in the crosshairs of a camera.

I think Pep is anything but "all about me". Certainly in the press conferences, interviews, any media duties he often talks about the players and has (correct me if I'm wrong) said before that "I'm just the coach".

Fully agree, TBF, unlike the genuine megalomaniacs like Jose and wannabes like Rodgers, he does not need to ponce about seeking attention. His 'actions and gestures' are just his normal way of reacting to things and getting his points across - we are so lucky to have someone so obsessed with perfection.

I am truly shocked that so many on here seem to be in such a state of denial that they would rather bad-mouth the manager we are so lucky to have than face up to the clear fact that we have an problem with aspects of our support.

Respectfully disagree. Here's been here 5 minutes, as you say, and I'll eat my hat if he's still here in 5 years' time. You, me and many on this forum alone will still be going, just as we were going long before him. Pep is not the messiah.
He's not the messiah but he's the best we've had since the takeover. You've already said you're not keen on him so it's no surprise you're taking the stance you are. In 5 years time, even if he's not here, he will have shaped the club for future success.

He is trying to bring the whole club together so we fight as one. I absolutely agree with him. If you think your opinion is more important because you have supported City longer than Pep has been here as a Manager then that's up to you but I would respectfully disagree with you too.

Pep is a great manager and he's got us playing fantastic football but he'll be gone in three years and he'll take his restless intellect elsewhere for another challenge. Yes he's a brilliant tactician and it's going to be wonderful while he's here, but this isn't the bloody second coming! He's just passing through just as he did at Barcelona and Munich and when he's gone we'll still be here.

Sorry that's nonsense. The line of thinking is know when to fight your battles and when to leave it and win the war. Our owners are incredibly powerful and clever I don't think people realise the circles they move in.. UEFA and Gill are nothing to them.
Sorry but I totally disagree. It's quite obvious that even with the impending court defeat of FFP that UEFA/G14 haven't learned a thing. They change FFP not to tackle debt as it was originally supposed to, but to allow investment to build a club as we originally fought for BUT with the caveat that it's only for clubs with NEW owners! Yet again this was a latent attack on Manchester City and the like and a blatant assist to the two Milan clubs.

Both Milan clubs complain that they should be given free passage into the CL based on their former successes as it was they who helped build the CL brand & lo & behold 12 months later its on the table for discussion. This was too obvious an advantage in reality so what do G14/UEFA come with? A change in the coefficients to guarantee that if the Milan's/ManUre's do qualify for the CL, they get the easiest groups forever based on the facts outlined previously.

When UEFA becomes a fair and impartial organisation and acts in the best interest of all football fans and not in the interest of the European elite, I'll stop booing. Our point hasn't been made, its just highlighted the crooked biased foundation of G14/UEFA & yet they unashamedly continue carving up the game to suit themselves. Until this is addressed I will continue to boo until I pass out through a lack of oxygen........

Honestly thought we finally had a manager who everyone could embrace and for the first time since the takeover the supporters would be in unison.
Should have known better really.

Exactly, the protest by City fans does get noticed by fans of other clubs, and a anti corruption stance by a high profile club is something we should be proud of, rather than sneering at those who have taken a principled stance.

You're really upset that not everyone agrees with you? Blimey! I've not seen that reaction since the great Slade versus T Rex debate of the early 70's
