Pep: 'The players deserve a full stadium, we need our fans!'

Coming out of the ground I've never seen so many mobility scooters...it's like the start of Mario carts....feel a bit left out actually like we should all have one.

Might take a few more years to change it all around. Our home crowd seems to be old blokes and young girls. Strange demographic!

there were loads of kids and young lads tonight though.

I don't get why there's so much drama about it personally, we had a great night, he used the performance(which was amazing) as an opportunity to appeal to the fans. To many he sort of had a point for whatever reason we struggle to fill the stadium in cup games like these and that gives the press something negative to focus on along with the booing. The man is a perfectionist and to be fair it could be a little better if we are being honest and not over defensive about it... maybe from his perspective coming in everything is great at City(from what he's seen at league games he will know how good it can be and wants show it in the CL) so little things like that will stand out.

On a night when Spuds attract 85k we were always gonna be lambasted. As fans though we are truly blessed with what we are seeing. I've been to most CL games since 2011 and haven't enjoyed many of them for all sorts of reasons. But this feels different. We have confidence and look like we belong and the quality on the pitch is as good as anything we've seen in recent years.

Cmon blues, tonight we were fab. No excuses. The place should be packed against Barca and Celtic.

And when they all reach their late teens we will have a better atmosphere. We have the kids and the walking dead but nothing in between due to decades of failure and the rags hoovering up local support.

It will change though but will take time. In the meantime we have the grumpy old men thinking their past loyalty gives them the right to moan or not turn up and I'm not just talking about the CL.

Blimey that was a bit strong there mate. :)

So there were 77,000 people there?
Have you been to Barcelona? They have thousands and thousands of tourists going to the games, people who have no interest in football in any real sense but are visiting the City and buy tickets from kiosks on the street. They also have a team of superstars including the best player on the planet who many go to watch just so they can say they saw him in the flesh. They're the most famous club (arguably) on the planet.
Any comparisons are a load of bollocks at this moment in time.

maybe it's simply a marketing cock up,,all iv'e heard on the radio all week is corporate tickets available so they are pushing that side, i can't see any reason why these games can't sell out at what the club are charging

i dont agree, I'm in that in-between bit ( 22 ). the main problem is price and I'm finding that out now. once your turn 22 it goes to adult prices, and most people that age aren't making enough to justify going each week. loads of city fans in the 21-26 category can't afford to go and usually start again when they are a bit older or have a better paid job. just my opinion though

I agree with what you posted earlier about our past loyalty, mate. Whilst it was something to be proud of at the time, it's now approaching a couple of decades since our loyalty was properly tested (if you exclude the Stuart Pearce era). We can't keep dining out on that anymore.

They seem to not have much of a memory span, one minute they are singing our praises, the next we are shite.

I am 62 the other guys further down the row from me are similar age and all were there tonight, unlike many on here.
There was no "moaning" just full of support and comments on the game.

Easy target the older support but way out of line if you ask me.
Ive been all over with the club for many many years so think this targeting of "older" supporters is out of order.

At what age do you think we should stop attending the games?

Maybe we should stop now so we can leave it to the non existent hordes of younger fans who wanted to attend tonight,......and they were where?????.
