Hmm, got a bad feeling Nastasic will be demoted to being a squad player next season. I want us to keep the Nasty-Kompany partnership and let it blossom. Then just buy Novaretti (or similar) to replace Kolo Toure.

Don't think we'd go for Pepe if he was to be a squad player, as his wages would be too high for that role.

Oh well, we'll just have to see what happens. But regardless, Matija is good enough to win his place back pretty quickly.

Yes he has experience and is a decent defender...

BUT

He's hardly one for the future (30) and is a dirty cheating t**t.

Although he somehow escaped any red cards last season.

Pepe is a great great defender, and he can also play in midfield. He's very comfortable with the ball (just the opposite of Joleon Lescott!), but . . . .

He has a real nasty streak in him. However, perhaps that wouldn't be such a bad thing.
