Hard to tell. The rumor mill has been going since day 1 and the other players we have "been interested in" have proven true. We haven't made any offer that I'm aware of so maybe it's just a rumor. Pepe seems to want a move out so the rumor's could be from him agent. We could be interested but not for 20m so maybe we are just "talking", testing their resolve on the 20m. Possible hoping that as we get closer to the start of the season they will feel pressure to sell him at a lower price.

No! Please no Pepe! He is a thug. We have gone a long way to clean up our image over the last year. He would just tarnish it again. Plus, how often do our players (especially Vinnie) see red too quickly. Pepe would rarely play for us because he would always be suspended. They only reason anyone would want Pepe is because they like to play a man down every few games.

His disciplinary record was better than most of our players last year ......

You mean thug as in 7 yellow cards and no red cards last season?
He isnt as bad as everyone makes out, he would add steel and experience, Personally, i'd like him but no more than £15-18M.

My point was with us he would get carded all the time. How many times over the last couple of seasons have we seen Vinnie get an undeserved red.

Pepe is a quality defender, decent in the air with the ball at his feet and can mix it up.

the best quality he can bring us is the fact he sticks up for his team mates, how many times has Aguero or Silva been hacked down and we've just strolled on, at least he will get in the oppo's faces

Don't go for Pepe record, him and most of the Real Madrid thugs were escaped by the referee, just becoz they are Real Madrid , in Spain Real Madrid always favoured by referee, majority of decisions goes in favour of Madrid, its my humble request to the city management again don't go for him, he will not escaped this time here in England, his reputation plus his dirty instanct made everyone against him.

He will receive more cards in here as compared to Spain , mr new manager, kindly open your eyes and thinks he is not belongs to city and English football, he is a complete thugs and sick person, ability comes second , discipline come always first, look what happened mario ? Whatever his class but still unpredictable and indicipline player, city suffered last season just becoz of him in the initail stages ......so agains don't spoil the environment and don't go for it.

This is my 7 or 8 post regarding Pepe .... Pepe suits dirty team, like Real Madrid and Chelsea.

What I ve observed in city some weird things like they goes for Negredo rather then Higuain, they goes for navas rather then Di Maria, they goes for fernandinho rather Matic or Pogba or Kongdogbia or song or Benat or Rossi , no bids for rues , no bids Gonagon , no bids for hummuls or sobitic or Thiago silva or mangala. For me that's really strange.

Currently in world football argentina have best striking force like aguero Higuain Di Maria lavezzi, so why not city should for this combination ? I always says used silva as messi in the team and make team around him as Barcelona did , also as argentina currently playing now ,

Aguero Higuain lavezzi Di Maria silva nasri yaya Matic salvio clichy Thiago kompany Pablo hart.

This is must be the selection of the team in opinion, why Spain and successful becoz of Barcelona, majority of Spanish player are playing in Barcelona, so they known each other very well, that's helps the club and country, same as if we use the same philosophy in our team then our team will be playing like a proper one team and easy to manage players as well.

Again in the end they are going to make a biggest mistake to throw there money on Pepe and salvio rather then mangala and Gaitan or Di Maria.

City needs only 4 players still 1 left back , fullback, centre back and a left footed winger.

My choice always Di Maria / Gaitan , Coentrao , mangala or Sakho or hummuls or sobitic or dragovic.

Even if that's true...

Real Madrid 2012/13: 93 yellow cards, 5 red cards
Manchester City 2012/13: 62 yellow cards, 3 red cards

Real Madrid 2011/12: 91 yellow cards, 5 red cards
Manchester City 2011/12: 55 yellow cards, 5 red cards

Real Madrid 2010/11: 96 yellow cards, 7 red cards
Manchester City 2010/11: 73 yellow cards, 5 red cards

Moral of the story: There are more yellow cards and red cards in La Liga than the Premier League yet Pepe's recent disciplinary record is fairly good even in the stricter environment, so he in theory should have few problems if he moves here.

What I like most about Pepe is that he is bringing the warrior spirit to the team he plays for. Both him and Ramos are such. I don't give a shit he's thug sometimes, it's a small price for that quality often missed in expensively assembled teams.

Just look at the first frame of that video posted above - he plays like possessed, he looks like one on the pitch.

That's what City often needed last season. Players were like not caring many times and players like Pepe are those that push the others to offer maximum.

That's why I m saying in Spain, Madrid have some support from referee all the time, but still have higher percentage of red, look when it's fair then the percentage will be increase ......

As in England, playing style is fast and physical that's suits young quick player and strong as well, referee here very inconsistent and with the decisions based on experience, reputation of the player, and some favouritism.

So overall Pepe is not belongs to this planet and he should remain in their own planet that's called real thugs planet.

He's a perfect example of an old style defender.. hard, no compromise, no bullshit defender. The one you just don't want to see in front of you when you're heading toward the goal.

Garcia reads the game intercepts the ball just as good pace wise they are both the same it's just some fans a blinkered
