Re: Pepe

I think he may end up being a bit of a liability due to his temperament but if for no other reason it would send the media hacks into meltown as
'City Smash The £100M Barrier On Transfer Spending!' headlines would abound!
Perect.

Re: Pepe

We need a top draw defender for the CL and Pepe fits the bill

Top signing as far as I am concerned you don't make RM being shite

The rest of their team can deal with being down to 10 men in league games against 6th placed sides. In the PL, we might find it a lot harder to win away at Liverpool with 10 men than Real would away to Granada.

According to this Pepe has had 3 red cards in 138 games.

I rather think that RM are set up not for Granada away I think they are set up to compete in the CL something I think they have done reasonably well

Again to play for RM regardless of whom you play against you must be a decent player first and foremost

MP will be expected to progress in the CL and now matter how you dress it In a group like last year which we could very well draw similar there is no fucking that any of our centre backs Vinny apart are good enough

And his yellow card count is not at the level to produce regular suspensions.

Well you can say I'm talking shite all you like but the stats don't really lie do they? 0 red cards last season. 7 yellows spread over periods where he won't be suspended. Suffers more fouls than he commits etc. I think his reputation for some ugly fouls in the past seems to get in the way of what he brings to the football pitch most of the time.

The stats speak for themselves - 0 reds, 7 yellows.

Fans remember the Real Madrid v Barca games which are something else. Atypical. You can't generalise on his conduct in those games. Remember Mourinho and the finger in the eye for the Barca coach? All kinds of craziness can happen in those games

The stats speak for themselves? But you ignore that in pressure games he becomes a liability?

Can't have it both ways!

Who said you were talking shite?

From page 2/3 I've been telling people his disciplinary record is fine, I was referring to the original statement you quoted!

A couple of angry incidents shown more often than not. His football skills are neglected because of this.

Ah right sorry got confused. And yeah, depending on eventual price, he could certainly be a great acquisition for us.

Re: Pepe

What interests me, is that if the powers that be (and I don't know if they are or not) are interested in this player, are the people who are saying no way saying that they have a better judgement of a player?

Re: Pepe

I think you hit the nail on the head with the "if Pepe is available bit"..
I just think it will be a nightmare dealing with Real Madrid, and perez
seems a right cnut. He will demand a 30m transfer fee for him, which
would a total non starter.
