Pep's contract situation | 2 year extension confirmed! (pg1817)

Why ? He's been mostly fine there for me, it's way of extending his playing time for us, he's had poor partners at times, but for the most part done a good job.
He’s done ok at the back To be honest. But ok doesnt win you the chumps league

Naglesmann is worth keeping tabs but we've got to be cautious with this. A similar bright Bundesliga coach (Tuchel) struggled when he stepped up at Dortmund and isn't that popular at PSG at the minute.

Pep has spent roughly £325 millions on defenders alone, with the problems we know still not solved. On top of that, he has had almost free reign in the transfer market to get great attacking and midfield players he wanted. Surely, with that amount of money, he should have reached a cl semi-final already, at the least?

Not sure who could do better than him if he goes, but surely it's a discussion-worthy topic?
he had to replace four fullbacks over thirty for a start, short memory you have there

with Silva now gone and aguero and ferndinho soon to follow to join zaba, yaya, Kompany. Really seems so important that pep comes out to announce his intention to stay longer term and his desire to rebuild us. Replacing these icons with similar qualities will be hard And we need to start now!

It could be just as important that he announces he's fucking off

Problem is Pep hasnt got a great track record when it comes to signings, Laporte and Sane are the only 2 good ones imo, the rest questionable, although Cancelo is now picking up.

I really doubt that City will sack Pep but I would do it because unless he extends his contract he will be a coach in limbo next season and added to that he's severely damaged his copy book tonight. It was one of the single worst managerial cock-ups I can remember. We have had some really bad times but never have we had such resources at our disposal. How one of the best coaches in the world convinced himself to play such a pedestrian and defensive side against Lyon given his options I will never know, but Pep does this for some reason. it is a trait. The players will be hurt by this and I can see it being very damaging. I wouldn't listen to a guy who messed up so bad when it mattered. That's how people work. You switch off.

I can not seen an obvious solution although Bielsa would be intriguing.
