Pep's contract situation | 2 year extension confirmed! (pg1817)

My question was to the poster who said he doesn't care about the CL results. As you said, United won only 2 CLs under their greatest manager. But, are United fans okay with poor performances in Europe and say they don't care ? No. I don't understand how folks can think of "as long as we win domestically it's all great, but in the greatest club competition where the footballing world watches on, it's okay to lose to inferior teams year after year. " This team is capable of much better and losing to Lyon in that manner in a CL quarter final is a humiliating defeat. See the match reports and you'll confirm the same.

For me it's not about not wanting to win it. It's about not wanting my money enriching a bunch of corrupt mutants that need cleansing from the game. I've been home and away in europe and its obvious everything will be done to make sure our name isn't ever etched on that trophy.

At a point where fans are beginning to doubt him (and rightfully so) he needs to sign an extension immediately and provide reassurances to the club and fanbase or fuck off and let us worry about our future.

It's not the greatest club competition. It's a pile of corruption.

A 3rd full back at 50-60 million is a outrageous luxury, especially when Walker has consistently performed since his arrival and is rarely injured and if you think Pep and Tixki don't consult each other your dreaming.

I don't give a dam about RB;s but I do care when we go into a 60 game season with 3 CB and 2 who were dubious at best.

Lets not forget the formidables, the title was completed with Kompany and Laporte, Pep had lost all trust in Stones and Otto.

It was a crazy, crazy decision, and as said, someone should be hammered for it.
I could be wrong about this but I think the trail of thought at the club was the right CB was not available at the right price. One thing I have noticed in our transfer dealings is after the statement Robinho signing the club does not want to break the transfer record and walks away from deals that would do so. It was then deemed as a separate issue that walker needed competition and cover at RB. Let’s be honest Walker was fast but he lacked the technique Pep wanted. Cancelo comes in quite cocky if I remember correctly with a clear message that he wanted Walker’s place in the 1st team. Walker really upped his game consistently to a level that kept the Portuguese out.

Which ever way you look at we spent a lot of money but we did improve the right flank!...:)

Wasn’t actually what I said no. Be plenty of neutrals when comparing budgets would say he has but I wouldn’t agree with them at the moment.
Ok, so you are suggesting that Klopp maybe better than Pep? But if next season spans out similarly to this one then he is? The “at the moment” part of your post implies that.

All these posts worrying because Pep hasn't extended with a year left on his contract, meanwhile Bielsa at leeds gas already started pre-season training, and signing people, but his contract has actually run out, so it is possible to have the club onside with your plans, without having signed an extension.
