Pep's contract situation

Listening to the press conference Pep would not elaborate on whether he spoke with the FA about the England job which makes me think that he did speak with them, otherwise he would have said there was no discussion.

Taking that into account Pep said that he would like to manage an International club at some point and so the FA would surely offered Pep the job if he was willing to take it now, which makes me think that another extension is likely.
My thoughts as well.

It could be as simple as The FA asking if he was interested - isn’t that tapping up (?) - and Pep saying ‘no’.

If Pep said there was no discussion, the press could then potentially prove that it did happen. Pep’s too savvy for the cunts in the media.

You are aware that Southgate is available as well aren’t you?
The mere mention of Southgate in a discussion of who will replace Pep, even in jest, should be an immediate year ban for each time it was coming home, but every clear-thinking fan knew it wasn’t because Waistcoat was manager.

So you’re saying that’s a maybe then?

I'm going to make a very contraversial post so brace yourselves.

We're never going to find another Pep! There will never be the next Pep! He's one of a kind -- unique!

I am not sold on Amorin because of what happened at the Rags.. they thought they had the perfect club structure and brought in a new manager.. and guess what.. the players thought they knew more than the manager!! We all know how that went.

And if you want a contrast.. look at the dippers.. they had Shankly - Paisley - Fagan - Daglish - Souness?? The continuation of coach to assistant/ player was there.. and they had a successful transition.

I think Pep's successor has to be someone at City who's been there under him.. maybe Lillo/ Maresca or maybe a player who's ready to take the reins.. Gundogan/ Kompany or Bernardo or someone like that.. someone the team will respect

I don't want to end up like the rags thinking we have a good club that's able to weather everything and then the wrong manager arrives who has no respect in the dressing room.

Sheik Mansour if you're listening.. get Pep to extend 2 more decades please! :)
