Peps Targets

You say that but let's assume Bony, Nasri, Yaya, Fernando, Demichelis and Sagna seem to no brainers and that's 6 without discussing the fact we have 2 over 30 left backs and no surprise casualties.
We are not gonna buy for everyone who leaves. And not all those guys will leave. Dimechelis is a certainty. No one else is. Nando, Yaya, Nasri and Bony are simply guys fans don't like. This doesn't mean they are leaving. And Sagna? Why would he leave?

We have a deep squad when healthy. I expect a speedster on the wing (Sane) and possibly Alaba ( apparently he is not under contract paat next season), a CM and a CD. And at most one more player.

Xabi Alonso will turn 35 before next season starts and has already signed and extension with Bayern for next season.
He's not going to sign with City.

Though, the closest CM/DM to Alonso in the Bundesliga is Granit Xhaka, given that he's also a deep lying playmaker with over 100 touches per game.
Considering all the talk about Xhaka in the meehdiaa I didn't even think once about signing him up at City. But he'd actually be a really great signing! Fernando out and him in!

I wouldn't mind him. I think he's underrated, he played well against us home and away

Boom!!! Those are the 2 I expect too. But Bayern will probably exercise the buy option.
Leroy Sane
Juan Bernat
Ameyric Larpote

Don't know who the likely CMs will be. But we'll see. That said, Pep's signings have not been historically great. Some work out others end up at Sunderland.

I like the above 3 plus Denayer at RB. Still not sure about who to get in the middle.

Oh, I should add, these is just my opinion, before mossideblue comes and give me stick for acting like a factual ITK. It should go without saying, I'm a KFA :p

Sagna is out of contract, if we wanted to keep him so bad we would have given him a new deal already but instead we are scouting a right back (Piccini). Yaya I think is a certainty to leave, nothing to do with not liking him or the others just more logic as far as Bony and Yaya going Nasri might stay or he may go no one knows.

If Sagna leaves, we still have Denayer and Maffeo so this may not necessarily be an issue. While Yaya's agent is being a blabber mouth, I take him nonmire seriously now than I did the last 3 years when Yaya was actually influential. I think Yaya will have a sit-down with Pep, and whether he stays or leaves will be up to Pep. If Pep says stay, Yaya wouldn't go anywhere.

Bony, I don't know. If there is an offer for him, maybe we'll take it. But this too depends on what Pep sees. We as fans have to recognize Pep's view is drastically different from ours. It just is.

One thing that's for sure, there would be lots of moaning next season. Coz Pep never does the expected. If people find the selections of the 'Quite understandable Pellars unacceptable, they'd be tearing their hair out with Pep.

He simply doesn't buy into the boxed view of standard football understanding. Yet its hard to question him coz he wins so often.
