In a proper system under Pep all of our central defenders will actually preform. Pellegrinis system exposes our defense and makes our defenders look crap. wont happen anymore. Keeping the 3 we have now and adding Denayer to Demi is all that we need in central defense. I think a lot of our fans dont rate Denayer, which is weird. He can play fullback, centrally n defensive mid. The lads passes better than most in our current team and i was furious that he got left out for Demi last summer. Anyways, we should focus our funds on fullbacks, central midfielders and a winger.
Think guardiola knows what he's doing

Worse still, even our fans who rate him only rate him as a CB. I think he'd be phenomenal at RB. Dude flies up and down the flank, one touch passing a good crosser, and an assured tackler. I really see his future as a standout fullback.

------------------ Agüero -------------------------
--- Sterling ------------------- De Bruyne ------
----------- Silva ---------- Pogba -----------------
------------------- Xhaka ---------------------------
Gaya ---- Laporte ----- Kompany ----- Zabaleta
-------------------- Hart ---------------------------

That would be quite some team actually.
I saw a response of yours somewhere about Bernat. I've always tot he'd likely be the only Bayern player that we could get.

I rate him as a LB and hope you guys let him leaxe.

Not true at all, those of us that have watched him,in the flesh.....from his arrival, realise his versatility and understand it probably extends to defensive midfield.Hes an excellent footballer and a superb athlete.

+1. those who actaully seen him play. those havent cannot really come and say that we need a Laporte or stones. I think we are set with 4 amazing centerbacks

I hope whomever is in charge of transfers this time round is someone different from the mastermind who brought in Fernando, Mangala and Caballero.

I like it too. But if possession is going to be all under Pep, then we shouldnt keep Zab in the first XI, who also, great servant that he has-been, looks like he's lost a yard or 3 in the last 12 months

Well that summer we were restricted by FFP and Txiki did amazingly by getting Mangala(not so much, yet), Fernando, Sagna and Caballero. But as we all saw this summer he works magic without the Pep name. think about this summer when he has the name to use aswell. things will be fine.

My Squad 16/17 season
GKs: Hart, Zieler (3-10m)
Def: Mario(15-30m),Sagna,Vk,Otamendi, Mangala, Denayer, Angelino, Gaya(20-30m)
Mid: Silva, Nasri, Ferna, Delph,Sterling,KDB,Gundogan (10-30m) Xhaka(30m)/Pogba (70m), Navas, Sane(30-40m),
Atk: Aguero n Kelechi.

But he is not the one Laporte is supposed to replace though.
No, thats Mangala i think everybody expects, which is unjustified because everyone in a Pellegrini system is sheit in defense, except Kolarov Demi and Caba who are awful either way.

I'm just looking at it from a ball playing defender's view. Mangala is not a ball playing defender. This was obvious before we got him, and that hasn't changed. And it would not change under Pep. Players are what they are. They could get better, but at the essence, they are what they are. Mangala is what he is. Energetic, powerful, athletic, hardworking etc. But ball skills wise? He is Mamadou Sahkoesque.

Boateng was that too when he was at us. Jupp made him better on the ball, and Pep is doing it even more. I think pep will give mangala one season then buy Stones or Laporte as their clauses will be lower the coming summer n winter.

No he wasn't. Boateng was always good on the ball. He was good at Hamburg before he ever came here. He just never settled here.

He is nothing like Mangala. I don't know why people compare them.

I agree with Dax,Boateng was always comfortable on the ball,he has far more composure than Mangala and is technically a much better footballer.Mangala wins hands down in both physicality and industry, and the fact he desperately wants to do well for us.Boateng was somewhat of a shithouse in all those departments.

Reet lads and lasses, what do ya reckon our stating 11 will be the first game of next season? This can include new (realistic) signings. Also who will have been sold by then?

-----------------Hart-----------------
Coleman---vinny-----denyer------cliché
Fernandihno------pogba-delph/Garcia
-------Kdb----aguero----sterling/silva----

So only 2 signings and we look tons better I think
