Perspective

Didn't take long for the "pep out" brigade to resurface. He deflects pressure from the players by saying the rags played well and some on here think he's a united fan . Shit happens in derbies - we gave the rags a few bloody noses when we were mid table and they were winning leagues and cups, do you really think they care about those games at the end of the season??

Losing the derby is fucking shite... BUT!!

We've gone 28 unbeaten (almost 4 months, FOUR MONTHS), 21 games winning run (best ever, EVER!!!!), final of the league cup, all but through in the CL, quarters of the FA cup, best attack in the league, best defence in the league, 11 points clear and the also rans all have to play each other....... we were 10 clear last week and everything was rosy, now we're 11 clear and arses are flapping.

Catch. A. Fucking. Grip

We're gonna win the league! CTID
I’ve not seen any City fan remotely suggesting that Pep should go so it’s a bit of a dramatic start to your post. However, when you lose a Derby it hurts & perspective is lost & criticism is naturally thrown about.
The result is not important if we bounce back against Southampton.

The only perspective we need is that this grounds us. No chance of the CL with our profligate finishing. Need to absolutely ensure we win as many League games, as soon as possible, to finish the title off. Lose one of Saints/Fulham and all the sudden we’re all going to be shitting it. Do our all in the league cup final and if we’re lucky we might do well in the FA Cup, but United and Chelsea can knock us out in that.

League and League Cup double and we can call it a success.

Exactly- one loss and some folk lose sight of the bigger issues

Our first loss since some time in November.

I know, it's against utd, and that sucks. but it is hardly the benchmark to judge the team on.

That early Penalty had an adverse affect on the game for us, it was a bad mistake from Jesus and this set the tone for the game. Yes players were also below par, none of which is down to the Manager. He went out with a plan which was changed within 60 seconds of Kick off, we then struggled to change, we were chasing the game after that and should have scored before they got a second on a break.
Its not the end of the world we have another game midweek which is important and we need to bounce back.
No one likes being beaten by those XXXXX, but that Penalty and players not performing was the real problem, those players and team selected were good enough to have won.

One way of looking at it utd have to be at their best raise they game and take their chances, to beat a poor City performance ;) sadly this seems to be the pattern at the Etihad over the last few years !
and very strangely the other way round at old trafford, think thats 8 out of the last 11 where the away team has won.

It's 1 match we were bound to lose sometime soon and I'm glad it's as close to a meaningless match that we have between now and the end of the season. The quad is still on.
But it wasn't meaningless they are 2nd in the table and even a draw would have kept them in their place. Now they will have been encouraged to keep going.

We’ll still walk the league, are favourites for every cup we’re in (not that I’m confident we’ll win the Champions League), and this is without a striker.

We’ll probably get a top striker in the summer and be even better.

Also, United don’t play until Sunday. We could easily be 17 points clear by then.
