I have not heard a single City fan ever say they want Pep out. He is one of the best managers in football history but he is not beyond criticism.
It’s bizarre that anyone has come to that conclusion that they think that anyone wants Pep out.
All that’s happened is that some posters on the forum have shit themselves because more people came on to comment about yesterday’s game than usual so they think that everyone thinks the world has ended. But in reality, all that’s happened is an increase in discussion.
When we win, people are more likely to crack open a beer form the fridge, put their feet up and enjoy their night without their phone in their hand posting on Bluemoon... When we lose you can multiply the amount of people posting by three, and they will discuss where we went wrong and what was shit... When we lose a derby, you can multiply the amount of people posting by five.
When more people are posting there’s more discussion, more posts to reply to, greater volume of posts. When that follows a defeat and a defeat in a derby, it’s only natural for that discussion to be critical and negative. It’s not overreacting, it’s literally just more traffic.
It’s like calling rush hour an overreaction of people trying to get home after work.
That’s all that’s happened. Nobody needs reminding about perspective, everyone’s just commenting on a game that’s just been played. The perspective people need is understanding that discussion after games happens and happens more when we lose.
