Yep that’s what I thought. Second half of the show was superb. Sort of prepared myself to be disappointed but wasn’t at all

Most likely. Why fix it if it ain't broke? Personally, his schtick bores me senseless but that's the beauty of comedy. It's all subjective. Each to their own.

Frankly, if you gave this mug to all those who post on BM, a significant proportion would still get it horribly wrong.
And people complain about educational standards now!
In what way is he different? I saw him at the Lowry in 2001, never laughed so much, so pleased his audience are enjoying his act.
He's half the size he was and his voice has changed completely
Didn’t know that, he seems to be a private guy and not seen any photos recently.

This image is nearly 12 months old and he's changed even more since.
I must admit that when I went to watch the show a few weeks ago, I spent the first part thinking it was a shit look/sound alike (not to say he wasn't funny, the show was brilliant).
I said to the Mrs on the way out that I'd be very surprised if the tour / residency at the AO lasts as long as its scheduled for cos he just didn't seem 100%.
