Phil and Jack on the lash?

We do indeed, like with you being a condescending so and so, who overreacts to two grown men going out socializing.

Notice you didn't deny the other parts I said.

Do you think Pep overeacted ?

If you are right and it is just two grown men going out socializing.

Is Pep out of order in your opinion ? should he apologise?

Do you believe there should be no rule about the condition a player arrives for training as long as they make on time.

Would be interesting to know what you believe , rather than a tantrum and verbal attack on anyone who has different ideas.

Has Pep actually named Jack and Phil? Not sure he has.
He didn't.

Guardiola: “I pay a lot of attention to behaviour on and off the pitch. And when off the pitch is not proper they are not going to play. So they have to be focused all the time because the distractions in the Christmas time and everything that happens – you have to still be focused.”

Guardiola, who did not mention Grealish or Foden by name...

Maybe they were out with Steffen and Carson, what if Ake was in on it as well? they were all on the bench, very suspicious.

Not sure he’s saying that.

Pep was doing his job. As a boss, sometimes you have to discipline your staff if they haven’t adhered to the rules.

This is probably deemed as a minor misdemeanour and dealt with internally with a public admonishment, 90 mins on the bench and potential fining.

There probably is a rule about the arrival condition of a player to training. This is probably the rule that they broke.

Not seen much personal abuse from him, barring his reaction to one of the most condescending posts on the thread.

This is possibly the snobbiest comment I've read on here.
True. But probably best to put this to bed. Clearly turning up for work unfit due to alcohol consumption is irresponsible behaviour. We don't of course know that to be true so the lads deserve the benefit of the doubt if it was only a late night on the town. They have been publicly warned by the boss that this sort of thing will not be tolerated and I expect that will be the last we hear of it. The two boys have a bit of reflecting to do and will be fully aware that they risk the condemnation of PG if they persist with this type of behaviour in the future. Now, time to move on to the next item on the agenda.

So when he writes
" two grown men socializing"
"Our support overeacts to having a social life"
"Course they can go out and get pissed
Reason they are professional sportmen"
"Everyone goes out for a bevvy after work"
"It's not like they gone out and done any worse than having a bevvy"

I can understand why some people with a different understanding and knowledge of what it takes to get to the top, might be a little annoyed and not agree with those sentiments.
Including our coach.

You’re entitled to understand what you want as are others.

Pep fired a warning shot across the bows.

The rest of the rhetoric is hand wringing for me. Neither are likely to turn into Gazza.

We all want all players to be as good as they possibly can be. Sadly, some players make errors of judgement. That’s life.

Messi partied for a few years before Pep arrived. He turned out ok.

Jack has a long rap sheet , phil is getting his own started and we are in a pandemic , any lad defending them are not taking it seriously , lads do not have to be lads when their actions are not compatable with the amount they get paid and the possible effect on the team , stupid twats , both of them

Runing away before the abuse arrives

This is Jack’s first misdemeanour at City.
This is Phil’s first misdemeanour at City.

No one is defending them, from what I’ve seen.

What they get paid is irrelevant.

The effect on the team is unknown, but we did manage to scrape a 4-0 win at the weekend.

Wasnt Pep in Barcelona? If so im guessing the Coaching staff noticed that the two players wasnt to the required standard.

They've had their dressing down, Pep quite rightly has mentioned it publicly now everyone can move on
If they were brain surgeons I get why work colleagues would grass on someone being hungover, but kicking a bag of air around on a field. The Cats away the mice will play.
