Phil and Jack on the lash?

I know I am adding to the posts but 79 pages about a couple of young lads who went out for a drink?

It's more the danger of two young lads throwing away their potential, by acting like a couple of brickies still pissed from the night before turning up for work and finding it a giggle, rather than very well paid professional athletes. For one group they can probably get away with it, the other can't

The point being pep said they turned up the next day not fit to train

it was a warm down do you know the difference if you genuinely think they turned up pissed out of there tiny minds but then where still involved in the match day squad against Newcastle there is no helping you , do you think Pep would have included them both if they turned up pissed like Richard Dunne and Mark Kennedy ( who was then sold less than a month later ) did under Keegan ?

These guys earn a fortune for maybe 15 years of their lives.. sums that I would imagine 99.99% on this forum can only dream of..they not only have to perform as elite athletes but have to set a good example..why are players like Vinny Zabba,The King so admired ?? Why is Yaya not a legend, because frankly he should be ??..it is because he got distracted and influenced by a total idiot.
Frankly I admire Pep for drawing a line in terms of behaviour. He is tough but rightly so. Phil in particular needs to grow up and understand his responsibility. Iceland, turning up hungover (possibly). A homegrown talent that we all want to be a legend. Legends are not just brilliant players but set an example..look at Gascoigne as to how it may turn out.

Not normal young lads and a man of 26 is not a young lad regardless.

Have a drink but do it quietly and as you are a elite sportsman playing at the highest level and also entering the busiest period of the season and added to that in the middle of a pandemic, maybe stay in your multi million penthouse and enjoy.

You dont have to turn up pissed my friend..the players are assessed in terms of cardiovascular and respiratory function on a daily basis. If you think going on the lash will not be picked up by these simple tests you are mistaken. Much like the Police testing you in an accident and being found positive for booze from a night on the lash the night before. Not rocket science.

Set a good example to who exactly?
They are humans, not fucking robots. Everyone has drawn a line under this except people on here it seems. Unbelievable.

How long will it take till people move on?

As for comparisons with Gazza that is outrageous.

Just wondering what Pep will think of them joking and grinning like school kids whilst sat on the bench yesterday ? They both looked carefree and happy as though they got away with a childish prank and it smacked of arrogance and disrespect of the club to me.

The last thing we need is a pair of jokers hitting the headlines for the wrong reasons on a regular basis. I don't dislike Grealish or want him out but if he cannot keep his nose clean and stay out of the headlines then the club will probably take a hit on his fee and offload him. I can't see him being given many more chances tbh.

Said it in the Grealish thread already — the way some of you are reading into a 5 second shot of a conversation on the bench can only be compared to the weird types of over-analysis into non-events that we regularly take the piss out of the scousers and the scum for.

You want them to sit there with a face like a smacked arse after we’d just scored and were dominating a game? As if that wouldn’t lead to even more headlines about attitude problems? They saw something that made them laugh, who gives a shit, the suggestion that Pep would be annoyed at them smiling is actually absurd.

I reckon Pep will think, thank fuck them two lads are enjoying the performance. Unlike those miserable bastards on bluemoon.

If Pep had any issue with this so called "arrogance" or "disrespect" then they wouldn't have been sat there.

I want them sat there like professional footballers reflecting on why they're sat on the bench. There wasn't an ounce of remorse between them.

Good manners and respect are still free i believe. Well they were when i was their age.

Incredible the amount of psychological analysis you can do over a 5 second shot of the bench, have you considered a career at Talksport or the Sun?
