Cracking interview
Ive been saying for ages he will get one more growth spurt and it's important to develop him right so he doesn't get overplayed and picks up injuries at such a crucial stage in his growth, glad he has said it himselfFrom the Daily Mail, in Foden’s own words:
Physically he has some growing to do. The Premier League is a place for athletes and Foden has not yet developed the power that will come with age. But he was always small and, because of his talent, was always being asked to play with older boys. So he is used to the challenge.
'Sometimes I feel leggy and off balance and I know it's a growth spurt that is underway,' he says. 'My legs are long and my body needs to catch up. It will happen in time.
'I look at some players and wish I was a bit stronger to look after myself but there is nowt I can do apart from a bit of gym and look after my body right.
'I was very underdeveloped and small when I was young but they used to tell me I had the technical ability to play up.

Doubled his playing this season. That’d do just fine next season. A lot depends upon his development and who we pick up this preseason. Just being “Stockport Iniesta” to the fans isn’t enough, unfortunately. The biggest thing is producing in training, which gets you a place in the squad. Then, when you get on the field, it is produce, produce, produce that stops the Boss from being able to drop you. He's not in any danger of being overplayed.
I thought he was in the Under 21 Squad ?Is Foden injured or on England under 23 call up or something, he wasn’t on bench and didn’t see him in any of the celebrations
