Pitch Invasion?

This one was not ok and it seems the club will get fined for it, which makes it even more stupid of people to encroach.

Well it can counter the increase to season tickets every year. The £90 adult home shirt, with another two to come out. We aren't short so it's all good. I remember the invasion at Maine Road against Chelsea when we was relegated from the prem. Without a pot to piss in and people digging up the pitch. That was daft but nobody batted an eyelid. Woke era now.

The Way end and the front of the tunnel was GMP.
Exactly, their presence stops it. They target the areas they don't want encroachment from, the away end and near the tunnel and they do it successfully.

What you’re asking for is GMP to be put all around the perimeter of the pitch. There aren’t enough Police to do that and to be outside the ground after the match. No club or ground has Police all around the perimeter of the pitch to stop an end of season pitch invasion.

Then get the barriers in from Wembley for the day if we want to stop it. The fine is probably cheaper

They have it down to a science now. They just blockade the tunnel so the players can get into that area, let the fans run about for 15 minutes and then everyone comes back to normal.

It was pretty impressive to be honest.
Think they've accepted it for what it is, and now mostly focus on players off the pitch, stewards in the right places. And talk people back off the pitch rather than manhandle and force it. Keeps the good mood going and stops things turning nasty.

That isn’t going to happen either.

The club made a decision. The stewards were told to stand aside and not to tackle or to stop anyone. GMP protected the away end and the pitch in-front of the tunnel and made it a large no go area for the fans. Those plans were put in place by the club and GMP in advance of the final game, and a possible pitch invasion depending on which way the results went on the day. The club and GMP weren’t caught off guard by the pitch invasion after the final whistle.

Exactly.

The club will look at those fans on the pitch before the final whistle, which is fair enough in my opinion.
