Pitch Invasion?

IF we win the title, the players will deserve to celebrate on the pitch. Don't be selfish bastards and spoil it for them. Plus, you will get banned.

Pitch invasions have been part of English football culture for decades and it's a shame that era has passed at the top of the game. They won't come back unless Barclays sponser them.

This. Nothing smalltime about it. Its called emotion.

The Premier League/Sky will make sure the trophy gets presented on the pitch so dont worry about that. Worst case is a few fans on the pitch for 10/15 mins then the pitch is cleared.

What happens if we win, we cant lift the trophy until utd have finished there game at Sunderland as technically they can still win it if they score 10 plus goals ... Would we all have to wait an hour until there game finishes??

Waited 44 years so an hour doesn't make any difference mate.

Pretty sure the club will make an announcement about the ramifications of running onto the pitch. If, after that, they still ignore the clubs wishes and spoil the celebrations for others, players included, they need to be ashamed of themselves and punished appropriately. If this means a lengthy ban, so be it.

why the fuck shouldnt we ;)

Brilliant.....thats whats it's all about....Im not even arsed about going on the pitch but there are some seriously miserable fuckers on here....."Dont spoil it for everyone else"..."we want to see a victory lap"

A polite ripple of appreciation followed by a "hip hip hooray" and a "for he's a jolly good fellow" will suffice

Watch the Blackburn one and see The Goat singing BlueMoon with his head stuck in a fans armpit.....Or the Wigan one with Weaver getting hoisted up with a massive grin on his face and everyone enjoying themselves....

How have we gone from fanatics to dour grumpy anoraks in 10 years...??

No way it'll be an hour. Sky/Global broadcasters already have their itinerary's so there will be as little deviation from that as possible.

You're totally missing the point. In those invasions and the one at Bradford and against Charlton there was no trophy to present so a celebratory invasion didn't spoil anything. It's a totally different matter when we've got a trophy to be presented and a lap of honour by the players. Did we invade the pitch when we won the Championship under KK? No, there was a presentation of the trophy and a lap of honour. Why ruin it for everyone else on Sunday, this is the club's biggest day for 44 years and like may others I want to savour it.

We didn't win it at maine road though did we. I remember it all being a bit of an anti climax waiting for other results. I'm sure we did have a pitch invasion which was a bit premature wasn't it against birmingham.
