Why would you chase a player who is running away from you ? Weirdos

Just the general hysteria. And there you have part of the problem that that kind of occasion generates. If a player wants and welcomes it, fine. If not, he should be left alone to get back in that tunnel. That seems like just decent, basic behaviour.
As for going for an opposition player after the final whistle, that is cretinous.
I'll always remember Keith Richards in his biography saying that being mobbed by girls like so many screaming harpies was the downright scary part of the job. You'd think it sounds like heaven. It isn't. It really isn't.

Compared to previous seasons I thought the pitch invasion on Sunday was pretty low key and orderly.

People completely lost their heads after the 3-2 come back against Villa, which resulted in the damage to the goals.

They have it down to a science now. They just blockade the tunnel so the players can get into that area, let the fans run about for 15 minutes and then everyone comes back to normal.

It was pretty impressive to be honest.

That was an absolute disgrace. This one was ok bar the premature pitch invasion. Still takes some people too long to get off though.

This one was not ok and it seems the club will get fined for it, which makes it even more stupid of people to encroach.

The only way the club can stop this, if they want to, is to ban anyone who went on the pitch early. They could easily identify them if they want to. I doubt they will though.

No, they was stewards instructed to do absolutely nothing, smiling and saying they know we are going on. It is when we get fined for not controlling the crowd we can say loo, we had all these stewards. When they know full well the only way to stop it properly is to do it all the way round, just like they did with the away end and around the tunnel.

Totally unacceptable to climb over a barrier to encroach the pitch while the game is in progress beggers belief.
