PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

Agreed.

115 is a ridiculous number and when we beat these charges the media will never let it go. HOW DID CITY GET AWAY WITH 115 CHARGES!

If it had been one charge and it was dealt with, nobody would care.

When (if) the number of charges is dropped I would expect the first question the PL will be asked is why did they inflate the charge sheet, closely followed by how come they cocked up the announcement so badly. Back foot straight away please Mr Mansfield!

Wow tbh I always thought the £20m breach was bullshit as they had posted mega losses, they also seemed to get away with a COVID write off far in excess of similar sized clubs like Villa and Newcastle. The original figures I see to recall were akin to a £200m breach.

the notion they would spend £40m on a stadium before planning permission had even been granted seems like bullshit as well.

looks like the ten point deduction was lenient after all. Also shows the Everton only got one charge compared with City’s 115 is bollox, I would guess they could easily have had more charges than us if the cartel stooges wanted to go after them.

In Everton's defence, they were looking at a £200m stadium naming rights deal (although that's murky water) and clearly felt they should be given mitigation over that, because it fell through due to sanctions on Russia/certain nationals. But typically a lot of their fan base will be unaware of the fact the PL were trying to help them out in the first place, and will also level the accusation of us inflating sponsorships through related parties, whilst being angry their stadium naming rights weren't granted mitigation - despite Usmanov clearly bankrolling a lot of what Everton have done! There's no hypocrisy here!

They should be watching Chelsea more closely than us. They've admitted to financial irregularities and been fined by UEFA. The PL should charge them and can go further back. And there's also the issue over certain transfers made under Abramovich too. Do the PL grant them mitigation because it was a different owner? Or do they go hard?

How did the Rwanda policy get so much coverage before the appeal was heard then?
Because that wasn’t a criminal court and people don’t tend to follow the rules.
Not big issue, I was just correcting the point re restrictions in murder trials - but it’s irrelevant

In reality there are only 5 charges that have been sub-divided into 115 mini charges to make it look as bad as possible and get the frothing brain dead dippers/rags/tarquins worked up. There are 30 separate mini charges for lack of co-operation alone.
Where can we find each of these 5 charges as I for one haven't a clue where or what they are? All I know is that there has to be a paper trail which should be correct and proper before submission to the auditors and tax authorities.

Wouldn't the money for stadium naming rights have come in when the stadium was built, ie after they had already failed?

RTE...Feckin eejits
Notice how they site no evidence of sports washing. What about the City based PR for AbuDhabi? Oh, there isn’t any.?
We all know that it is a money making exercise for Mansour personally. The Newcastle Saudis said it: “We don’t care a damn about ……” (Sorry can’t remember whether the quote was sportswashing or reputation.)
If Mansour wanted to sports wash, you would see it all around.
Note also no public PR for the billions invested in civil projects. The latest one: they have rescued Sizewell B funding, with a UK gov announcement and nothing from AbuDhabi.
RTE fails to mention, we rats as the Sunday Times called us, have no say in our ownership. Gaslighting of fans.
Personally, I am not a fan of the domestic policies of M.E. regimes (and that includes Israel controversially maybe) but I can do fuck all about it.
Finally, why do RTE not publish the methodology and data of this (non existent?) study.

I thought occured to me earlier about them looking again at some of the issues aleady investigated by Uefa, there is a lot of talk about there being no time bar for these charges however others seem to dispute this. Is there a case where they know that legally they wont be able to go after some of these cases but have included them in the knowledge they will get overturned due to a time bar.

It allows them to continue with the claim that they tried to hold us to account but through legal technicalities they were unable to pursue them.

Gives them a get out while re-enforcing the general view that we are up to no good.

The red shit, the gutter press and sly are trying to grind us down, we need to close ranks and get angry, very angry, like when the PL first announced the charges. Get behind our great club, and the players at every game, bring the anger show them all that we are one, Come on Blues.
Starting with Levy on Sunday.?

Did you actually send that? If so -send the link & we can all bombard him with it.

It’s so true & needs broadcasting
But remove the profanities if sending to him, otherwise it won’t be taken seriously

Fuck me…..if you get fucked over I’ll send a supporting tweet but not before.

Smashing ….
Every fucker else has mentioned us in anything to do with Everton but not dipper Andy, for once in his life he's on a dignified silence.

I voted Pablo Zab rather than for that twat (had dealings via work with him and being a dipper isn't his worst trait), when he was up for election, I'm nolonger in his voting area now thank fuck.

I don't know enough about the Everton case to be honest, I've only started to pick through bits just to see whether their ruling was harsh or fair. I'm sure there will be podcasts out there I can get the lowdown on. Considering Usmanov was behind the stadium rights deal I'm sure he would have happily paid a large chunk upfront - enough to cover Everton's losses and some transfers! From high level reading that seems to be the case - they feel Chelsea were assisted when Abramovich was sanctioned but that they got no grace for the stadium rights which fell through due to Usmanov's sanctions.

And that's my point. You'll have a lot of Everton fans feeling hard done by, believing the PL are corrupt whilst completely ignoring/being unaware of the fact the PL were supporting them and that the deal with Usmanov is the sort of deal they'd feel was dodgy as hell if it had been done by City.

Even now the redshirts can't believe our revenue is genuine. How on earth could a treble winning side, the dominant force in English football over the past few years, make more money than the red shirts?!

The 5 basic charges relate to:

1) Alleged inaccurate financial information.
2) Alleged financial breaches relating to manager remuneration.
3) Alleged breaches of UEFA club licensing & FFP regulations.
4) Alleged breaches of PL profitability and sustainability rules.
5) Alleged lack of co-operation.

Sports journalists = kick a man when he's down if it gets you more clicks. Too many journalists have allegiances with the red cartel. It will take a generation for the imbalance to be corrected.

If required, organised protests at PL headquarters.
