PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

I don't think there has ever been a club sanctioned for unofficial payments.

For example, Barca were never investigated for paying for prostitutes for Neymar's dad, alongside all the other alleged extras in that transfer.

Tapping up players is also against the rules but never seems to be enforced.

If our accounts are watertight which the CAS case would imply then we should be fine. I think a fine and possibly small transfer ban for not cooperating/small breaks in the rules.

Someone posted earlier that Spurs got done in 1994 because they didn't disclose payments to players when a tribunal was basing the amount Spurs needed to pay for the players on their salaries.

If we're treated like the Bears we could get every league ground in England in, in four years. Fuck em all , do what they fucking want, DOWN THE BOOZE, UP THE BLUES

Can anyone summarise the charges objectively?

We're being charged for breach of rules relating to a number of matters. Ultimately, it's because we're successful, but it looks like the Sheikh's been getting his mates to pay off Mancini and other players rather than paying them through the club. He's also been adding noughts to our investment thanks to pals in Abu Dhabi. The premier league don't like it because, ironically, their mates who helped them make so much money initially are now not making as much and don't like it. They want the premier league to stop us so they make more money, like the good old days. The premier league are snookered, because we've made some money for them, but everyone else hates us. They're hoping that after we're out of the league they can fix the game so the title switches between the dippers, tarquins, rags and chavs and then they might throw Spurs one just to pretend it's competitive.

Anyone have any views on how the rest of the season might go ? This cloud will be over the club for quite sometime. I would imagine we'll see some more up and down performances from now on.

Apologies if this has been posted already I have read lots of the thread but can’t keep up whilst trying to work. The below is taken from the PL website.

‘Any serious breach of the Rule Book results in an independent three-person tribunal sitting to hear the case, ascertain guilt and set the punishment, which can range from fines to points deductions and, in extreme cases, expulsion from the competition (this has never happened in the history of the Premier League).’

So, the question is how ‘independent’ are these three people? Seems, like UEFA, they are the investigators, the judges and they decide the punishment.
And then we appeal.
