PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

Not for nothing, but if the charges brought today are so trivially easy to disprove as they'd need to be for the club not to be worried, it means the people in charge of dealing with this investigation for the last four years are wildly incompetent and need sacking.

Overwhelm us with charges to bring us to the table to make a deal.

Take our punishment, again, and everything is rosy.
Hope we tell them to get fucked.

Will say again for the PL to prove that we concealed payments to managers and players and that we inflated profits they must have solid proof. I can't see that they have it.

For this kind of evidence HMRC, the National Crime Agency, the UL Financial Intelligence Unit etc, would all have to be involved. This would also involve which ever organisations we used for our accounts and auditing.

And yet there is no such evidence that any of these agencies and organisations are involved, even though government agencies leak like a sieve.

I do however expect the PL to find us guilty on non-compliance with the investigation though I doubt that will be on all 30 charges.
yes those kind of corruption if proved could be a criminal corruption case and can have implications for the players and managers involved. but to get caught for that you need to be incredibly corrupt and stupid. believe these charges will not stick when we inevitable take it to court.

Mate I’m a Bradford City fan with a soft spot for you lot ........ should I stay out of it ???? Sorry but this doesn’t just affect you lot it affects the whole game ......... these charges go back 15 years that means they have it in for your owners for that amount of time ........... I simply don’t care if you’ve bent the rules etc etc if you have the money then so be it ......... but in the years since 2008 how many clubs have gone bust while the top authorities in this country have sat back and done Fook all to prevent it happening .......... maybe if they put more effort into protecting clubs that are being run badly ( Macclesfield, Bury and Oldham and that’s off the top of my head ) then maybe these clubs would still be in the league ..........put it this way had the Sheik took over the rags in 2008 then this shit wouldn’t be happening but it’s happening because your club has done something that they hate and that’s kicking them off the top table
Tbh I'm surprised we're not being scrutinised at the level City are. OK, we're not a threat to Liverpool and we're not quite as in the shit as City, but Usmanov wasn't above board.

Definitely concerns everyone and a degree of concern to one is different to the other. Be great if the PL and the higher authorities had less interest in ManUre and Liverpool etc.

Serious question here then. How would you feel about the situation if City are indeed found guilty of the bulk of these charges (there 100 of them, so I'm going to assume some of these will stick) and City are handed an unprecedented punishment, say a massive points deduction? Will your anger and ire be directed at your owners, or at the PL?
The reality is that the PL are basically no different than your local golf club. You might get done by the committee for wearing the wrong colour underpants in the bar and get a fine. It isn't illegal. Occasionally you have to brush these things off. Sometimes you have to overthrow the comittee.

The PL is heavily influenced by the "History" clubs and this current bollocks might just be the thing that blows the self interest and bias out of the water. Its interesting that this has come out before the government white paper (now delayed) and also that Liverpool and Utd's owners are trying to sell. Feels like one last shit or bust move by the cartel clubs to me.

All the charges are historic - between 5 to 12 years ago. I also suspect many of the charges will relate to technical breaches which could be seen as trivial. I have little to no respect for FFP and its ilk which is merely a technical device to restrict competition in favour of an established group of successful clubs at that time. When Liverpool can escape sanction by being allowed to write-off £50M against some early designs of an imaginary stadium or owners loans can be cancelled etc it is hard to take these awful twisted regulations seriously. All ire/anger will be directed at the EPL which is unduly influenced by United, Arsenal and others and is at best complicit in their agenda to continually hobble City’s success on and off the field.
There is disappointment though that City are too passive in allowing untruths and allegations about the club to go unchallenged.
To summarise, in 2023 I don’t give a fuck about how Mancini‘s salary was funded 12 years ago.

Fair enough, and I totally understand that. Good answer.

Wonder if they'll be investigating every other premier league club in such fine detail.
Chances are they could find well over a hundred breaches of rules with some clubs.
But we know they won't be doing that will they?
Clear and obvious!

That's how I would feel if I was a City fan, but I can understand if people feel persecuted by authorities when you're constantly under the microscope. I see people say, 'oh have you seen bluemoon, totally delusional people over there, proper tinfoil hat stuff' but having spent years posting here and seen it from your perspectives, I kind of get why your immediate reaction is distrust of the PL and their investigation.

Still back the club 100% this pl is bent . No o e question liverpool gun running money laundering shirt sponsor. It's just that's pick on City
