PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

I disagree, the clubs approach has let us down badly, half a decade and more of continuously having to listen to accusations of cheating, ruining football, buying the league, not from other fans I get that, it's "banter" and we would do the same, but from supposedly professional people in media and within the game, all of which could and should have been challenged long before now.

We are definitely guilty of one thing, and thats indolence
It might be something to do with the fact we are not guilty and our owners don't want to give these lying fuckers any airtime.
Our owners aren't the slightest bit interested in the media and their constant casual racists remarks. The red gobshite clubs have overstepped the mark and defied the ffp rules for years before we became succesful and took one of their places, in return the media have carried out a near 15 year campaign of hate, lies, and absolute racist slander against us and our owners.

I would love nothing more than to see khaldoon open a huge can of worms about every other club, and there is dirt on other clubs, but not a chance this fella lowers himself to these maggots levels, he is 1 million times smarter than that.

You've heard of the phrase keep your friends close and your enemies closer yeah? That's what is happening now.

Just have to sit tight, let it breathe, let the giddy twats like neville, scouse ****, sky et al think we're doomed as we'll come out smelling of roses.

You know the pathetic cartel club fans that are rejoicing on social media are doing us a favour.

We are at our best, when siege mentality kicks in.

If Pep and the players needed any incentive to get it together now and go on and win a treble, this is it.

Oh how we might laugh at the quivering lips if we pull that off!

Will say again for the PL to prove that we concealed payments to managers and players and that we inflated profits they must have solid proof. I can't see that they have it.

For this kind of evidence HMRC, the National Crime Agency, the UK Financial Intelligence Unit etc, would all have to be involved. This would also involve which ever organisations we used for our accounts and auditing.

And yet there is no such evidence that any of these agencies and organisations are involved, even though government agencies leak like a sieve.

I do however expect the PL to find us guilty on non-compliance with the investigation though I doubt that will be on all 30 charges.
Personally I find it quite helpful you talking such sense.

Maybe so.

I’m not really sure what to make of it, and he (among a few others) offer a good perspective regardless of all the noise.

I’m halfway between flapping and shrugging this off!
Yeah, the 'flapshrug' is a bloody tricky manoeuvre to perfect without plenty of practice!!

That's one of the main aims. The investigation is to have and keep Manchester City under investigation. It's already been four years and at least another 2 or 3 years if not more now. So it will be the best part of a decade under constant investigation for cheating. A whole generation of football fans will have been brought up with City being branded cheats and corrupt. Our reputation is shredded. Even if we do win down the line it will be the usual 'they got away with it on technicalities - again' etc etc. Hopefully, the PL won't win the war but they have already won enough battles to hurt and scar us permanently.

This. And other clubs know it will make it harder for us to sign players while this is ongoing, so they push and push the governing bodies to do something, even if nothing wrong has been done.

While I'm sure we've used loopholes, I think that's what any intelligently ran club would do. If something's not ruled out, you can do it.

This is just shit clubs trying to trip us up so they can take advantage.

Me too, but if it just comes down to "failure to cooperate" ala CAS than that would depend entirely on whether we were being asked to provide information each and every other club in the Prem was being asked to/would be willing to provide. If it's "here are our audited financials -- go fuck yourselves" I'd be on board with that as a reaction post-2018 and especially post-CAS.

100%. And we'll undoubtedly have a nice file of evidence on leaks to the media that we'll say justifies our non-compliance with the investigation. Even today - it was out in the media before City were aware of it, and we made sure to make the whole world aware of that in our club statement. We're emphasising our eagerness to have an independent panel review the evidence impartially, which is making it quite clear we do not believe the PL are acting independently/impartially.
