Due process. If it’s not conducted in a manner that is legal and proven unequivocally, then our club will take them to the cleaners.

We already know our opponents have tried to make this a kangaroo court. Hence some of the charges pre-dating FFP.

I've tried to follow this thread as best I can but not having a legal mind it turns my brain into porridge, in spite of that I've had a couple of thoughts.

I would have thought that if City are saying the investigation/process is flawed, then they will have to present compelling evidence, but if this is the case then it's probably only City's first line of defence and they will have further hopefully stronger arguments to defend themselves with.
Any evidence based on City's accounts may be sensetive or confidential in nature and so the club would be wise to try and win it's case without having to present it.
The charges seem to only relate to financial matters rather than anything that might have directly affected the outcome of any matches, so to retrospectively void any of our title wins or even deduct points would seem unreasonable and would have difficult to resove cosequences for other clubs.

As CEO and Managing Director of the Mubadala Investment Company, Khaldoon manages assets of around 288 billion US Dollars. In 2022 alone Mubadala invested in excess of 29 billion Dollars worldwide.

I've a hunch that whatever Simon Jordan, Mark Goldbridge, RAWK, Daniel Levy and Julian on AFTV have to say about City, it probably doesn't give Khaldoon too many sleepless nights.

Much as they would love to strip titles from City it just can’t happen, it would be akin to sawing off the branch you are perched cos you don’t like the tree. When you think about any likely sanction if the yank clubs prevail it’s again a can of worms. In theory they could kick us out of the league, but how would that benefit the likes of Everton, Newcastle, West Ham etc, would they want it to happen? Even yank owned Chelsea are reported to want the charges against City dropped. Would others think are we next ? The yank red shirts and that twat at Spuds are behind all of this and probably why yanks are buying up the likes of Burnley and Leeds and even Birmingham City, basically to get closer to the 14 club votes needed to take over the premier league. However, that plan if it ever existed is in tatters, the Saudi’s have scuppered any NFL type salary cap, so maybe the bastards will end up needing us more than we need them.

I cant help but feel the PL really want to lose this case, the fallout if they were to win would be huge. For starters they would be setting a precident of investigating clubs over a long term basis, in addition to us they are currently looking at Everton, the red tops will be pushing for Newcastle to be very closely monitored. The Rags have now been fined by Uefa and as such surely there is a duty for the PL to investigate them as well, Chelsea are spunking money on long term contracts and huge deals, again it would seem reasonable to have a good look at them as well. ou have to wonder how Arsenal are funding some of their deals as well.

You then bring in the new FFP rules that will have to be monitored and the whole thing becomes a minefield. We havent even touched on the legalities of any punishments etc..
