That alone makes me think it probably is Silver Lake

Yeah they've issued new shares knowing that they've got a suitor, probably a current shareholder.

Normally things like this are money to be raised specifically for something, with a view that it increases the value of the club in the near future, and hence the shareholder basically gets their money back through an increase in wealth (share value)
