PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

This is the thing that worries me. For City to be found innocent will be very embarrassing for the pl. The pl have allowed the American owners to push the pl to this point.
For the pl to falsely bring 115 charges against one of its members would be a disaster for the pl.

This is why I think City will not get a independent hearing. I know people say those doing the hearing are KC but the British judicial service is riddled with wrong doings.

Part of Everton's panel that dished out the 10 pt punishment was a director at West Ham at the time they paid Sheff Utd compensation for signing tevez & mascherano , hardly an endorsment of their knowledge or impartiality.
We have a Gooner season ticket holder on the panel deciding our fate , there is no such thing as independent it is quite obvious the Gooner wants at least a 10 point dedecution for us so the Goons can win the title.
Couldnt give a shite if he is a KC or MBE or Royalty like everyone in this world and will have bias and favouritism , its human nature.
The panel should consist of non football individuals , with no connection with any football club , so they can view the evidence from a business point of view , it is not a sporting charge/agenda we are accused of we have been accused of financial fraud.

Richard Masters’s allegations are of a criminal nature, the charges are crystal clear, falsified accounting and over stating revenues in a multi million pound business is NOT for an internal sporting committee to resolve. The accusations are also aimed at companies like Etihad Airways etc. Why the hell should they let their businesses be denigrated by the likes of Richard Masters and Daniel Levy. It should be heard in a court of Law. Reputational damage and the Streisand effect are hardly a concern for City now in the short term, our reputation has been annihilated. We need to fight back in a court of Law pdq. What are the down sides of that approach ? It’s escalating the whole thing but compared to what ? Richard Master’s kangaroo court. If it was me and I knew I was innocent I would want those criminal charges removed before discussing the length of the grass issues with Masters.

He will recruit two experts to hear the evidence with him, and the PL will appoint counsel to lead their case. City have already appointed counsel to present their defence. There are loads of experienced KCs involved on all sides. It won't be a stitch up with a predetermined outcome.

No other football journalist writes like Martin. The bit about Southampton being a great club for producing players only for them to be robbed by the big boys. Richard Master's, like an over trained chimp, pressed the big red button marked NUKE because Daniel Levy kept on badgering him. The objective is to cause as much financial damage as possible to City. That's because the cartel clubs are convinced the cost of competing with City is far too high.
The PL case has one big target, the Ethihad sponsorship. Although it was totally verifed at CAS the PL are having a go. Doubts about the integrity of payments from Ethihad were dismissed at CAS by the testimony of former MCFC executive Simon Pearce. The YT attack video released in June included insinuations of perjury. Let's see Masters in an English court of Law accuse, and prove, City and Ethihad execs of committing perjury at CAS.

If we have the evidence that we are innocent, then why can we not take the prem on in the law courts, on the grounds of not allowing us to conduct our business in the UK in a honest and lawful manner. Restriction of trade type of thing. Victimisation, racism, slander. Too much shit is out there for it not to be anything else. Apart from us and Martin Samuel not one person other than those employed by the club directly speaks out on our behalf. Not anyone dare bite the hand that feeds them. I find it strange, but even though we blame the red tops, it's the Prem who are pulling the strings of every media outlet on this planet.

If we clear our name, I’m not sure that we’d go after the PL. it’s not in our interests to bring the PL down. However, if we have evidence of other clubs trying to force the PLs hand then I guess it’s possible for us to take legal action against those clubs and sue for reputational damage. Whether we would I’m not sure but Khaldoon has hinted that he will have a lot to say when the time is right.

Just read it. A brilliant article, but extremely depressing. Why are other journalists so blind? He sounds like he’s genuinely mourning the loss of professional football as we know it.

City might not be able to take things to a real court, but Etihad and other companies could if they feel they’ve been defamed.

A valid point , the Premier league accusing major compnaies of fraud will have massive ramifications for Master's and his motley crew , the damages will run into billions.

He will pocket millions from the prem as he signs the non disclosure paperwork.

My use of the term "kangaroo" may trigger legal professionals however many have posted on here that City's fate will be determined by the "interpretation" and "judgements" of just three individuals. In addition, the IC where the standard of proof is less than a court of Law means the risks for City in this context ie existential, are too high. The prospect of relegation, loss of ECL revenue and compensation costs to N other clubs is existential. If the case can be heard in a Court of Law re false accounting we should try that option to raise the required standard of proof.

i admire your blind faith , i have had dealings with many "independent" bodies , Financial Ombudsman and others and they are as bent as a nine pound note who only serve their paymasters.
I have absolutely no faith that we will be judged fairly i coudldnt give a shite how many letters Murray Rosen and his two assocaites have after their names. Their is a Gooner amongst them and we do not know which club the other two are affiliated to , but there is a high precentage rate that says one of the other two will be a Rag or a Dipper.
You could claim paranoia on my part , which is hardly surprising the way our football has been ridiculed for a decade or more.
Independent commision my arse , there is no such thing.
