Now we know he was a journalist, you can appreciate his "hit rate" is much like any of the other gossip columnists or Kaveh types. Some people lap that stuff up, others rightly call it what it is.

Other than Hughes and Haaland, most of the big ones have been wrong (I'm not counting the fleeting mentions of "he's the sort of player we'd be looking at") - Messi, Bellingham, Pogba the big three I remember but there's easily two or three more.

Personally I don't think he's a WUM, but equally I don't think he posts in good faith either. The move to Twitter, blue check mark, once Musk opened up payments for "impressions" suggested motive to monetise but as someone else said, you get eaten alive on X and don't have mods there to protect you from pile ons.

3. Sounds like decent fella and a true blue. He’s also been an integral part of this forum during our most exciting period and has banked significant credit. I’d like to think he posts in good faith and I’ve always looked forward to his contributions. I guess he could be more circumspect and only post when he has ‘100%’ concrete stuff but is that what we want? People would still speculate and the ITK void would get filled by someone with much lower credentials; Tolmie outed himself recently so we know he has contacts that are well-placed. Up the Tolmie and up the Pep - shameless happy clapper here.

If there’s one thing I can’t stand, it’s an attention seeker!

Excuse me while I yawn. That’s better. I hang on to the realism that to prove City guilty of fraud will be nearly impossible considering the nature of the case. We should accept the PL will be awarded some victory’s so there probably will be fines and whatever against us. But in the end City will win more than they lose. We are streets ahead as proved in the ATS case or whatever it’s called. Lord Pannick will be too good for the panel and PL.
Small losses will happen but overall City will cruise this. If we expect another pinch and say a fine of 100m max it won’t be ideal but City will come out on top.
Will it be the end?. Probably not but Khaldoon will most certainly release a statement that will open a huge can of worms.
Don’t worry guys. Our owners have tried to show us fans they are not worried as they spend fortunes on players, stadium expansions and Hotel. If City were going to get nailed none of this expenditure would have happened. I take it as a clear sign that we will come out on top.

I've quoted the example of the CFS & CFM subsidiaries. I suspect some execs being paid via CFG is another. I suspect a lot of the stuff Tebas is referring to is these sorts of arrangements, all of which will have been declared to UEFA as part of our FFP submissions. And it's quite open, via their accounts, that the owner funds any shortfalls in CFG and these other companies via equity investment. But that isn't state aid, any more than FSG lending Liverpool money is.

If he has genuine evidence that we're hiding expenses in other companies that we aren't declaring to UEFA then I'm sure he'll have provided it. I doubt he has that though. Funding image rights for some players via Fordham was done in plain sight. If we really wanted to hide those payments then we could have tried a bit harder to do that.

Does that mean that UEFA have sight of United’s subsidiaries in the Cayman Islands?

I don’t doubt that he posts in good faith and I don’t doubt that he posted in good faith about Hughes being sacked but that wasn’t quite the exclusive some on here think it was because it was plastered all over the back page of The Scum newspaper that same morning - that Hughes was going to be sacked that day regardless of whether we beat Sunderland or not.
