PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

maybe just a maybe the prem are hoping for some kind of points sanction, not enough to relegate us but enough to damage our title hopes, the damage has been done this season and were not winning it so apart from CL it would be pointless receiving a small deduction of points, if the decision is done close season i would have thought the punishment would apply 25/26 so in effect the PL would get maximum benefit out of screwing us over, not that i think this is happening its just a point on why the PL are delaying and thats if they are

Part of me is screaming inside my head that they surely wouldn't have pushed it this much without wanting more than just a points deduction if they concoct a ruling their favour.

Either way they have created a monster, if we are exonerated it looks bad for them and if they get us in a mere technicality they are going to have to shoot us like a lame Horse because their masters at red top villa demand it.

After all this blows over whatever the outcome the corruption will be laid out in plain sight for all to see, in effect they have actually exposed themselves.

honestly i dont think the pl are delaying, i think all evidence was submitted, all arguments had and its just taking the time it takes because of the sheet amount and how many years it covered and what information was available and not available and why in both instances, the pl are making accusations they dont have a hope of proving and they know that but as anyone who works in law also knows they will have gone down the route of throwing everything they had both relevant or not and hoping that some of sticks, its not necessarily a sound legal footing but it has worked in the past in some cases, i cant see it working in this one because the figures are the figures and unless they have documentation proving otherwise then their objections are just suspicions and wants and wont hold any weight but the process still has to be followed.

the pl dont get to decide any sanctions anyway so they can want whatever they like it doesnt mean they are going to get it, i said that a minute ago, they have put the old boys club in the limelight and if we go down we are taking everybody with us and if we get found innocent the pls leadership structure is finished anyway and will need completely revamping its the ultimate cutting off your nose to spite your face.

They made the rules they choose which rules to charge a club with, "But they do it too" isn't a defence. What the PL have done is suicide I believe they initially wanted us to take a hit but we said no and vindictively and unprofessionally they pursued it this far.

We are going to be found to have broken minor breaches in rules IMHO and the footballing writers and the footballing world are going to ask the obvious question, Why haven't the PL charged any other club with the same indiscretions?

Burn it all down I say :)

Yes, I thought so. So the usual PL evenhandedness in dealing with its members.
City bad, all others good.
‘Clear and organised’
I think the UEFA City charge is really about falsification - in 2021 the PL introduced a new rule which I think was about City. But they didn’t have that rule in the years charged so they used the B.15 rule. Nobody else has yet been charged with falsification

I am sure the solicitors have asked the question as to why the pl have failed to go after the dippers and rags for the same offence, the more that comes out surrounding this just shows what it was all about and how dodgy the pl are in terms of its treatment of members, im fairly sure its something they would rather have not taken on in hindsight because its putting the old boys club with their secret handshakes squarely in the limelight and thats not where they wanted to be.
I am worried we are not doing anything on these matter or we have it completely wrong and are living in a bubble of conspiracy we would surely have publicly said something by now if we where doing anything or even taken legal action.

You have the Chelsea case the hotels the women’s team the player sales.

United dodgy costs

Liverpool hacking and stadium costs

UEFA light sanctions recently

The fact that it seems no one failed the premier league rules recently

Part of their master plan was to muddy the waters with so many charges so this would run and run even if they knew they'd have little chance of any win....in that respect with the time and media damage they've actually won at this stage but as we've said before....if you come at the King etc.

I hope we do, i have said all along, the punishment was the charges not the outcome, this all came about because the independent regulator was coming closer and this was the pl saying hey look we can govern ourselves, we can put our own house in order, we dont need someone coming in and seeing all our shady deals so we will make an example of someone (if you remember this was a four year investigation and the charges were released so quickly there was no consultation with city and the press release didnt even get the number right, thats how desperate they were) and as you say what they expected to happen was for city to take a pinch get a few points deducted and for them to go see we can look after ourselves, what they didnt expect to happen was for city to say fuck you we fight and by that point they had painted themselves into our corner and ever since then masters and his cronies have just been looking stupider and stupider as more transpires BUT the cartel have got what they wanted as its deflected from the shit show they have been putting out and made their idiot fans ignore their failures and focus on us.

Plenty in the Athletic
I listened to their podcast about it and the tone was entirely different to how they talk about City’s alleged accounting. It was very much a case of “look how clever they’ve been”, “fans don’t really take an interest in these things” when it’s quite obvious that Chelsea have taken the piss to a far greater extent than City ever did and for far larger amounts.

we are a professionally run outfit and dont as a habit take our battles to the press unlike certain other clubs we could mention but the person that says nothing and observes and acts without noise and fanfare is always the most dangerous person.

that was always the plan, said it before if they had anything then there was zero need for 115/130 charges as the major 3 would have done, but three charges doesnt look sensational in the press 115/130 does.

Let's say that even if people aren't completely knowledgeable about the charges against us just the losses the rags have incurred over the last 3 years and the money Chelsea spent after the dodgy takeover should bring any sensible observer to only one conclusion.

Once this is all over the PL will be the target from many angles, they pissed in their own sherry trifle and there isn't a queue of smiling happy people spoons in hand waiting for a serving of what they are serving up.

The deadline to have a points deduction applied this season has past.

Any punishment on points from now on will be on next season’s tally.

Well city are charged with a breach of the requirement to meet UEFA licensing rules (todays B.14/2018: B.15.6) but there have been no signs that PL will go after any team ever for such a breach other than City

I had assumed that charge was for supplying known false financials to UEFA through the PL.

As far as I remember it, the PL is responsible for collecting and sending the information to UEFA?

Only this.

There is a similarity between the City case (which has led to a six year witchhunt) and the Chelsea case (which is, apparently, leading to bugger all). The difference in treatment is stark.

your not saying that the leadership structure of the pl is staffed almost entirely by white men catering for the whims of other older white men are you? There is literally no evidence to support such a claim, oh apart from the absolute stack of evidence to support it.

They’ve actually taken all the piss.

Ah but what about all the gutter press that love to have a go at us.
The papers that kill us all season but suddenly are writing non stop about how great KDB is - but they’re only eulogising him now so that they can keep repeating how much City will miss him.
Why haven’t they got their magnifying glasses on this outrageous manipulation of UEFA & PL rules

They don’t provide via PL - clubs deal with uefa. the allegation is that City submitted false information but the point others are making is that any breach of FFP historically is technically a breach of PL rules that nobody has ever been charged for.

It will be the end of the season now. In my opinion of course.

If the prem have any influence on the release date, then i can't see them releasing it beforehand.

As we know, when they charged us we then went on to win the treble. Thanks Premier League :-)

A positive or even negative verdict could also rally us to win every single last game, cementing champs league qualification and an FA cup win.

They won't want that!
The PL have no more authority on the release date than we do??
