PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

They don’t provide via PL - clubs deal with uefa. the allegation is that City submitted false information but the point others are making is that any breach of FFP historically is technically a breach of PL rules that nobody has ever been charged for.

Doesn't the licensor in the UEFA rules refer to the member association, in this case the PL?

Probably wrong, but that's how I read the definition.

I'm musing that if I had made a loan at zero interest and secured it on the club's assets, I'd be less than willing to convert the loan to unsecured shares so that, in the event of Insolvency, my investment in the club would be the last thing to get paid. As you said, Insolvency is unlikely but no billionaire ever got rich by underestimating risk.

But, as I said, I haven't checked to see if they really are no strings, interest free loans. Seems too good to be true...

:) If I was a billionaire and was risk-averse, I wouldn't invest in a football club.

And I didn't say convert the loans to share capital, which would make no difference for PSR other than notional interest, I said write the loans off as part of a shareholder restructuring so that they become income for PSR. It would also increase shareholder equity, of course (in the same way a loan to share conversion would).

May work, although I wasn't actually being 100% serious tbf ....

maybe just a maybe the prem are hoping for some kind of points sanction, not enough to relegate us but enough to damage our title hopes, the damage has been done this season and were not winning it so apart from CL it would be pointless receiving a small deduction of points, if the decision is done close season i would have thought the punishment would apply 25/26 so in effect the PL would get maximum benefit out of screwing us over, not that i think this is happening its just a point on why the PL are delaying and thats if they are
I think any punishment (if any) won't be until next season even if we get the decision tomorrow.

We'll appeal if the decision doesn't go.our way so a punishment will be deferred until the appeal is heard.

didnt Everton 'i think' get a points deduction which was x amount then after appeal the table was changed or is my mind failing with age

Based on the Apt cases. City ain’t in the mood to take any shit from the league.

The club is in a position of strength by having possession of all the relevant facts pertaining to commercial deals and player/coach remuneration. The club believes the tyranny of the majority have it in for them and won’t settle for anything other than full acquittal.

The waters turned murky with so many dishonest actors involved pushing multiple narratives. Once you see through the collusion, a clear path presents itself.

City having been caught red handed by UEFA and then the league but did not try to negotiate a settlement during either investigation. Why? The hacked email showed guilt! Well so we are told!

Time barred! Uefa/premiers expensive legal teams knew the period of limitation and failed to prove the allegations during that sufficient timeframe.

So despite having us banged to rights and exposed, CAS found no evidence of disguised owner investment. Why is that point not disputed by the media instead they went down the time barred route? Could it be that no evidence is hard to twist? Best not mention it eh? -:)

so was the sanction applied to the table after the decision then amended after appeal or did they wait for the appeal result before docking any points

If memory serves me correct they had an asterisk next to their points tally like Forest did, however don't trust my memory for anything factual.

Well city are charged with a breach of the requirement to meet UEFA licensing rules (todays B.14/2018: B.15.6) but there have been no signs that PL will go after any team ever for such a breach other than City

I'm not a legal person but to me that seems like a witchhunt and it should go in City's favour. Even KC can see it's a witchhunt ??

of course its a witchunt, when the dippers were proven to have cheated with the database thing, the pl actively told us that it couldnt be investigated further as it happened to long ago and to take the fine and move on and bear in mind this happened post a number of the accusations against us.

Yes, amended after the original decision with a * next to the points total, and then amended after the appeal. Would have been carnage if the games had all finished after the original decision.

What gets me is the Dippers actually cheated on the pitch. Most of there squad diagnosed as asthmatic after joining the club and allowed to have them dodgy sprays.
Yet no one is concerned, there’s no PL investigation and it’s forgotten about.

I hope City expose the PL for what they are.
How long have the dippers been cheats?
I go back as far as Grobelaar.

Different rules. I think since last year any appeal has to be held before the end of the season.
