PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

There was a press report that City had sought clarification that rules changes couldn't be applied retrospectively. I would have thought this was a pretty straight forward point of law. This could have been something to do with Mancini, or to the provision of external information, I think. But we don't know yet.

If the panel concludes in the autumn as people expect with a decision early next year, there will be a detailed report at that time, even if there is a later appeal, so we will know what has been going on.

I wouldn't worry about City. Delays don't really affect the club at all. They affect the fans more. But they affect the PL the most. It's so stupid of them to let it get this far.

It must effect the club we have to negotiate player transfers and sponsorship deals
Some of those could get jittery if I was a top top player
I would have 2 questions.
How long is Pep staying and what’s the script with these charges
That’s if I didn’t decide to sign elsewhere
We need them gone ASAP so our already tarnished reputation can be restored

If I had to to surmise and there are far better posters than me on here, is it they're trying to enforce 2019 rules into 2011 alleged breaches.
If there's no compromise and a full hearing goes ahead and either party appeal we could still be 18 months away, not good for City and there's no way Masters could survive that.

Masters got pressurised into saying Autumn. I would not be surprised if this is fanciful due to the complexity of 130 charges, plus any subsequent potential appeals…

It's not bothered sponsers and players singing yet and we were accuse 18 months ago so I don't understand your point. Our reputation outside of City fans has been in tatters for a while now but all its done is to galvanise the team to go out and win 6 trophies with hopefully another one on Saturday.

City need to get a current player to call out the utter bullshit that the media have produced this week.

Keeping quiet just encourages more of it.

Instead they'll just do nothing and will brief to Jack Gaughan that "eyebrows were raised" at the media coverage.
