PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

This was an appeal about the reporting of the case that City brought about the legality of the PL's right to ask for commercially sensitive documents, which they lost. The appeal by City to restrict reporting was supported by the PL however, the judge decided that reporting of the initial case should be allowed So, no the PL didn't win and Pannick wasn't involved at that stage
If that judge hadn’t ruled that it would have saved an awful lot of pain for us all, seem to remember it was “in the public interest”. No consideration of the consequences for us.

It isn't just expected bullishness from City, there is a supreme confidence.

To the point, it almost smacks of us already knowing the verdict!

Was very different before CAS.

I suspect in the first couple of weeks, a majority will have been cleared from the table due to time bar and Premier League unable and unwilling to accuse us of fraud or illegality, that would open another can of worms.

You really think that's what he means ?
More like, 'how the fuck didn't they nail these fuckers'.
Certainly not "omg, City were innocent all along".
The **** wants us hung , drawn and quartered. Simple as.
I listened to it, and my interpretation is exactly what he meant. Both he and Sawyer were saying it like as though people have made their mind up and that if it’s proved we did nothing, heads should roll for what has been thrown at us by them.

You obviously didn’t listen to it.

There is also another agenda here, whilst the press and the cartel have a faint hope that they can catch us with at least some trumped up charge…….I think that they thought the constant sensationalism of the case and the none stop attacks in the media would have some kind of decremental effect on the performances on the pitch .

How wrong they have been.

I'm still hoping that before they put their wigs on tomorrow morning, the Premier League will issue a statement to say that Manchester City have been absolved of all charges and we are now in a process of renumeration to cover reputational damage suffered by MCFC and their associated partners.

Username checks out rampantly.

Wonder where it’s being held. There will be NDAs on the location of course, but people talk, and by necessity lots of people need to know this location. So plenty of people will know.

Might not even be in the UK, I guess. Don’t think there’s any legal bar to that, but I may stand (and happy to be) corrected. Theoretically could be via Zoom/Teams. Again, I don’t think there’s any legal bar to that, but I would say the parties would both need to agree to that mode of hearing.

There are some advantages to that format, especially if you have personnel supporting you, although definitely not in relation to cross examination. Maybe it will be hybrid.

Fuck knows!

It’s being held at Gill’s gaff and streamed live at the Bishops Blaize.

This won’t be the end. City will almost certainly go for the PL for damages. They already demonstrated in the related party dispute they have had enough.
And fair enough. If and when we prevail we should push hard for every penny we have lost. Fuck the effect on the Prem. Other clubs will have to bail them out if it happens it will be a very painful lesson.
