since this started I am still bemused by how a club of this stature and clout to hire top lawyers, accountants, and auditors, can fall foul of what must be relatively simple (if it's PL driven) rules and regulations ? where have the PL supposedly gotten this information from ?

I'm not saying City are guilty but if we are then the men in charge at the Etihad are a lot less intelligent that I currently think they are.

I think the accounts on there own look OK but when they are put along side the hacked emails and stories for football leaks the accounts could look slightly different

Slightly different doesn't mean accounts don't give a true and fair view. It just means they aren't 100% accurate. But few are. You never see an audit report saying the accounts are 100% accurate.

May well be kangaroo charges but the independent panel will not be dodgy, they can't be, the stakes are simply too high for one and all.

This is a serious moment for both parties, both will be damaged, one destroyed.

That’s a very logical approach. But the panel will be criticiz(s)ed for under-punishing us by the overwhelming majority of observers no matter what their conclusions. There won’t be a single allegedly independent analysis that reaches the conclusion that they were overly harsh. Not one.
