I agree fully.
Our owner was not wanted by the establishment from day 1
.
This attitude will remain as long as he continues his investment.
The PL biased rules are for City particularly to observe to the letter both on and off the field.
Not fair of course but it is their rules so they don't intend it to be fair.
Their message continues to say to Sheikh M we told you not to invest in our league.
Surely we understand this will never change by now.?
If there's no independent regulator it never will.
Fair and equitable regulations imposed from without are put in place for many reasons, but they (usually) have a key component that states that the weak should not be at the mercy of the powerful, that's true in all walks of life. Without effective rules, the logic of power dictates that those with power command and those without obey.
A semi self governing organisation like the PL can circumvent this to an extent, by making regulations from within, like FFP, a set of rules drafted by the powerful in the interests of the powerful, which the weaker members are compelled to sign if they want to stay inside the PL tent.
That's what's happened here,
Any dispassionate observer can see that whether City broke the rules or not, these rules were clearly designed to break City and any club that might aspire to be like City, and are now being used for the very purpose for which they were written. These rules are ridiculous, they actively discourage inward investment and are clearly in place to maintain the supremacy of a greedy cartel of favoured clubs.
Nevertheless the whole pantomime will rumble on, costing many millions of Pounds and whatever the conclusion the real message is, don't mess with the cartel.
