PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

We didn't pick 2 from 3. We suggested the chair from the list. UEFA had no objection IF the CAS Court Office went with him. The CAS Court Office then picked him. At no point did City have any power to pick or select the Chair.
That’s what I thought.

Great article btw. I hope it gains a wider audience than just City fans.

Question: With regard to the emails. How did City explain to CAS the one that seemed to suggest that that a portion of a sponsor’s money came from ADUG? If I’ve remembered that correctly. It’s the one piece of “evidence” that I thought would be difficult to explain. Time barred?

a great read that puts pretty much everything in perspective, it also sets out the burden of proof required to find City guilty of these egregious crimes.

A guilty verdict would basically be saying to multiple multinational organisations, multiple respected auditors, the sovereign state of Abu Dhabi and very high profile members of royalty, “you’re a bunch of liars and have been participants in a complex fraud for over a decade”. That’s what this independent commission will be doing if it finds City guilty. Good luck with that one!

one question, when we will hear the outcome from the High Court on City’s case with regards the validity of the EPL process and the Arsenal fan in charge of the IC and his perceived objectivity? i assume the IC can’t sit until the High Court have ruled ?
All true apart from Abu Dhabi is not a sovereign state. That would be the UAE, of which Abu Dhabi is the most influential Emirate. The equivalent of England in the UK.

Even Jordan acknowledged it was a clearly one sided production. For me the fact they couldn't get the correct number of years of success between the takeover and 1976 might seem innocuous bit as a consequence how believable is the rest of it.
Depends who you aim it at whether it’s believable or not.

It’s certainly not aimed at us.

It’s aimed at those who prefer their alternative facts.
You’d just fear it’s a further laying of the groundwork for what’s to come.

Maybe I’m just being pessimistic as logic would tell me we have overwhelming evidence to prove our innocence. But I can’t help feel this niggle in the back of my mind telling me, logic won’t come into it.
It’s a stitch up. And this definitely looks like trying to discredit the logic of CAS, to get the ball rolling.

Unless the premier league are going to start doctoring documents and making up a false claim then I can’t see how they can. They may want to but how can they explain the evidence when it don’t exist? City will be able to release everything and if it looks like the league has colluded or abused it’s position then they will be fucked. It’s better for them to fuck off quietly into the night with a wimper.

Take the non co op and shove it.

I’ve just read the @projectriver piece and it’s pushed that niggling doubt further to the back of my mind.

I guess what I and many others are searching for is not only a win but a way of completely shutting the false narrative in the media down.

I’m not talking about convincing RAWK and the Rags who I suspect know the truth anyway, but having a true narrative of what is really going on presented to the rest of the neutrals so they can digest where the real threats to the game are coming from.

We will not go down without a fight if the shit happens, plus we will have many irons in the fire to take many others down with us, Football and the Premier League and its so-called history clubs are all bent to the core,

The Premier League need to be very careful and think about what damage Manchester City can make happen, Our owners are worth more than the whole of the Premier League product, We could easily build a project with a couple other owners and buy them out and offer clubs double what they make from the Premier League,

Yeah, that's what it's worth, not what it cost. Ignored the PAV, Pep Added Value.
Ha ha yeah that occurred to me, like valuing peak Messi at Barca and then saying he cost a billion even though he came as a boy.

Wrote something on Substack for anyone interested in the topic.
Superb that. It’s lost on the bitter opposition fans and City-hating journalists but it’s a very useful read for the rest of us and sets out in layman’s terms just how high the bar is for the independent panel to find against us.
