PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

For my KFA two penneth.
I think there will be a deal I don't think the PL will be able to swallow the costs if we are not guilty on most of the charges.
The PL will be opening a massive can of worms if they win or lose the case.

Would the legal costs come out of FFP calculations on City or the rest of the PL club’s side depending who ‘wins’.

It amazes me the total ignorance of Carragher, Nevill, Magic Twat, Harris and some no mark ex Everton chair to name but a few.
Step back and look at whats happened since the charges were released.
More sponsors, shit tonne of money invested in the stadium. If were were bang to rights we would have settled and stopped investing knowing we could potentially be relegated. Would Gundo have come back knowing he could be playing in the Championship next year? Would united have hired Berrada knowing he was complicit in fraud? Would Savio have signed up knowing he was playing at Sunderland next year?

Their blind jealousy of our success clouds their judgement on facts and they can't seem to realise its their own clubs fault they haven't been successful. Pathetic.

I hope we destroy them in court. Once and for all.
As I posted months ago I am not going to post an opinion re the main charges until we hear the outcome from the IC. My take on many of the charges does accord with the majority view on here but there are some of the charges like the Mancini contract issue that will , if the email chain is indeed fact, will be down to the assessment of the panel members in terms on balance were payments from city and as a consequence I don’t think it’s even close to a foregone conclusion

In terms of your take about how City would behave I personally can’t see how they would have not carried on with the stadium project. If that project had been put on ice surely the whole of football save city would see that as a self sign of guilt

As for sponsors again the bulk of the football community outside City are of the opinion that there are direct links the narrative from many supporters is that the majority of Cities . That almost certainly isn’t the case indeed most clubs see the value offered through greater number of “ partners” as opposed to major sponsors exclusively . There is no way that City would be saying anything differently to new sponsors in term of their innocence.

As for Gundogan. Sorry he is only on a one year deal at City so the question of him playing in the Championship next season isn’t really an issue still a very good player at soon to be 34 he may indeed get another deal but at this time he is only a city player guaranteed till May 25.

As for Utd hiring Berrada that is an interesting one and there is an alternative narrative that particularly if it suited Utd and potentially the PL to have in effect access to someone that was close to the facts and should ultimately he, Berrada, be implicated then an exit from Utd would certainly follow.

I find this hard to imagine. Laying down £300mill is a solid statement of confidence. There is no way the board would think "we need to spend £300mill otherwise some social media KFAs might misinterpret it as an admission of guilt".

That would work in the US, but not here.
Not sure these days, lots going on at the moment, dieselgate, jaguar/Landrover DPF issue, discretionary bonus on finance agreements, all on the back of the long running and ultimately successful for many PPI claims. I reckon it's a goer, just need Lord Pannick to delegate the FPP case and take it up and run with it for us

This, the initial plans were announced the week or so before the charges came out. If they thought the world was about to cave in on the club they could have shelved the North Stand. Mansour has money but £300 million is a lot to put down if he thought his asset as at risk.

Add to that agent Omar who looks like he’s doing a spiffing job at the swamp so far. If he could be implicated in what the Premier League is accusing City of (Industrial strength fraud over many years). Would the rags employ someone as CEO with that hanging over them?

The emails are the reason for an investigation but then it will be decided on contracts & further evidence.

City have already said they will not accept any deals. We want it cleared once and for all.

Agreed. Any business would look at risk and shelve plans immediately. We aren't run by cowboys unlike Chelsea who would probably loan the stand out and buy it back.

Carragher is a very de c ent football p un di t, his knowledge of the game is huge and he clearly thinks and watches a lot of football and it's tactics etc, but his major problem is that scouse bitterness is always under the surface and he can't resist digs at us and what our club has achieved on and off the pitch.

They also imo wouldn't stop an investment of this scale, just because there is an ongoing legal case.

Jordan paid a huge sum for Palace but only bought the brand: Ron Noades kept all the tangible assets, later selling them for a pretty penny. Unsurprisingly Jordan lost his fortune. Who on earth would trust the judgement of such a Wally? There’s a reason he is on TS.
Jordan baits City with his "Frankenstein" comments and this gets reposted by rags

However,.he then makes a comment about Ten Hag being out of his depth and the rags explode.

Either way, there's got to be a rag angle,.but I'm surprised that nobody picked-up on his claim (last week when they published the image of their proposed new stadium) that if the current state continues then City will overtake United in five years.

That was clearly intended to start a fire

We overtook them a decade ago.

Almost every headline at the moment regarding us is based on quotes by Keith Wyness. He obviously has an agenda, probably due to the fact Everton have been deservedly fucked over by the PL and now he feels we should be done also. He's a convenient soundbite source for the red shirt media to use as quoting his previous role title " ex PL Chairman" appears to give his quotes some authority.
Someone has got to be paying F365 for their daily Keith Fucking Wyness exclusive breaking news story that tells us fuck all.
