This little shit has done more damage to football than City ever has
 
I don't really come in this thread because, to be honest, I don't really care. I only really care what happens on the pitch. I've supported City for 25 years. The success has been amazing but it's not a dealbreaker, or even that important. It's something I share with my mum and we've seen it all together. I can't really be arsed caring about the ins and outs of what happens between the millionaires and suits in our boardroom.

They won't strip us of titles because we've not been match fixing, so whatever happens will only have an impact on our future. The memories we've made will be preserved. And even if they relegate us all the way to the National League and all our players leave, they're all contracted so will need to be sold. It's not like a Rangers situation where the company collapsed and the players could leave of their own accord because their contracts expired by default.

Can you imagine the money raised by selling even half of this squad? We'd have the cash to build the best squad at every stage of the English football pyramid as we get promoted back to the Premier League within 3-5 years, ticking off some great milestones and visiting some cracking grounds along the way, and we'd be back in the big time after a memorable journey, surely breaking dozens of records along the way and coming back with a clean slate.

Something people don't understand is that we're too big to go away now. Even Rangers - in the dire financial straits they ended up in - were back in the top flight four years after going into liquidation. They were Scottish Cup finalists while still in the Championship and SPL champions again within nine years. They've won seven trophies (three major, four minor) since 2012 which is the kind of record we'd have dreamed of through the 80s, 90s, and 00s.

And my god, could you imagine if we win the league this year, get relegated down to the National League, eventually return to the Premier League in 2029, and still win the title again before United do? I've only just realised how funny that would be and how surprisingly short those odds would probably be as well, which would be a laugh on its own. So yeah, I just don't mind. What happens, happens. I love City; I'll always keep watching.

Haha! I guess I should say I don't care in the sense that I'm not worried about the outcome either way. All goes well, great. All goes tits up, fine. The same is true for the club - City will still be here tomorrow, regardless of the shape it'll take. I'm gonna enjoy the future of City whatever happens.
 
waiting impatiently on the Chelsea charges. Chelsea self reported lot of crimes from Abra era, but for some reason PL needs to spend long months on it. Uefa looked at is and gave them a punishment July 2023. Now October 2024 we still wait for PL to decide ...

imo PL is in bit of a limbo after giving harsh punishment to Everton and Forest for failing PSR limit by few millions, what should they give to Chelsea who may not break recent limits (due to absurd spending with 9 year contracts and hotel sales:D)but provide incomplete financial details for a decade. feels like because these are self reported not much argument can be had, maybe factor in that they self reported as a good sign but still it imo much worse with apparently secret agent fees paid outside the costs showed by Chelsea and all that.

can they really hand out only a fine to Chelsea? despite self reporting these are not minor things, some of them probably 5-10-20x difference that what we may or may not paid Mancini for example outside the rules.

really interested of what Chelsea will get and when as it was said this case will be done sooner than our 115 case, which is midway through the hearing almost with a decision likely in 3-6 months. wonder if we find out the Chelsea verdict by end of the year.

I am sure Masters wishes these were not self reported and also the longer it takes more legal fees wasted on this as well paid by the clubs end of the day.

just dont know how Uefa came to a conclusion over this 14 months ago and PL not yet.
On July 28, UEFA announced they had fined Chelsea €10m (£8.6m) for "submitting incomplete financial information" between 2012 and 2019.

media witchhunt at Chelsea and talk of asterisks also not comparable to what we receive daily in over a decade.

what will be fun to see how media reports once PL brings the verdict. "honest Chelsea" etc.
 
It’s also about time that United were done by the PL for failing UEFA ffp.
Oddly that seems to have been put to the bottom of the PL in tray. It’s part of city’s 115/130 - you fail a PL rule by failing a UEFA rule.
I presume the PL have sent the paperwork to united by Fax, hence the holdup, I’m sure they are not ekeing it out till it’s time barred…
 
How is it that we have been investigated more than any other club, we have been discriminated against more than any other club, we have done nothing dodgy (like selling hotels, dodgy long term contracts, false new stadium costs, inexplicable covid allowances, hacking, huge share dealing allowances, etc) and yet we are the club who are vilified in the media?

Thank fuck it’s nothing to do with racism and being Arab owned, and not playing in red

I think it's more to do with winning.

We're speeding away in our Bugatti Chiron Super Sport 300+, while united are still trying to keep up in their 1975 Ford Capri John Player Special.

Although they allow the other party to claim victory in insigniicant areas.

Two things were important for us. Those two things were the only arguments we needed to win. And we won both. The rules on associated party transactions are anti-competitive and an abuse by the Premier League of a dominant position. And undercover funding (see Arsenal, Liverpool, the Levy club and Manchester United - we have none) by shareholder loans claiming to be 'repayable' are now part of any FFP assessment.
