No it would be normal, but the PL will try to give it some significance.

You are up and close to him so I am sure you get a much better tell on Jordan than I ever could.
I have too much time on my hands and listen more than I should to Talksport nearly ALL the reporters begin with the soundbite, "I have heard" never adding from who, when or where they heard it.
I don't believe any of it. Who from City would slip Jordan information?
If City escape any meaningful PL sanctions Jordan will say it is as he thought guilty but City were never going to receive retribution, but they are still guilty.
After the CAS decision he still preached that City were guilty.

Spinning things to a dramatic context IS his job though. He's an entertainer, not an analyst. Stefan is the analyst. Jordan is the full timer who is there to generate revenue

I find it hard to get annoyed at TalkSport presenters because they don't make any claims to be anything but what they are.

I'm afraid this is true. I don't blame anyone on Talksport for saying what they say, I rather blame the people who listen to/watch it and then bring the bullshit on here as if it has any weight.

I don't see the problem with a business owner using the expertise of one business he owns to facilitate a deal with another project he's the chairman of. It sounds like an administrative task that was passed on('can you write me up a contract for this when you get time'). If they are suggesting this 'proves' the deal was a sham or that this somehow proves City are state owned(since the state do own Al Jazira Club), then that is another logical fallacy('anecdotal fallacy'?).

Unless of course, there are some regulations(UEFA, PL) we are not aware of, which would prevent this(which I doubt).

I suspect he's putting forward his own opinion of how confident City ought to be based on what he's heard about the hearing based on the views of someone on the other side. But even if that's wrong, it's generated a ludicrous amount of discussion on this thread.

As @halfcenturyup said, there's a lot of high-quality analysis in this thread that you wont' find replicated elsewhere. At the same time, though, there's also a welter of absolute shite on here.

I seem to remember that he had a consulting contract with AJ while the issue of his termination payment was being settled. He couldn't accept a new manager position until that was concluded and so Mansour kept him "warm" with a consultancy. After his termination was settled by the courts, he joined City pretty quickly, but kept his consulting contract..who wouldn't? :)

Can't find anything to support that, though, other than a Guardian article which mentioned Mancini and Khaldoon already knew each other (how would they otherwise?). I suppose no-one wanted it plastered over the press, though, especially after the attempted hatchet job on Mancini when he started.

Point understood @cheekybids but I think the PL clearly understood the results of the APT case but in their usual attempt to confuse the narrative, preferred to put out their version of " having won the case " for the benefit of the hard of understanding who want to promote and believe their claims.

I know he knew Khaldoon prior to joining City so it's quite possible, although I've never seen evidence of one. .

The contract documents published by Der Spiegel date from him joining us, but a pre-existing contract with AJ would presumably be a significant mitigating factor.
