PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

Could be a good baiting chant in there somewhere using the line ‘We told you so’ to rub it in…

PSR has fucked your club
You sold your soul
You’re blaming us
You’ve got to sell, your time is up
We told you so
You’re thick as fuck
Yup! And btw, when I read your song suggestion, the melody of the old folk song/spiritual hymn 'Michael Row The Boat Ashore' (which was one of my Old Man's favourites!) came to mind, as in:

'PSR has f**ked your club/ Aston Vi-i-i-lla!/ PSR has f**ked your club/ Aston Vi-i-i-lla!'

Something for the 26 October at their gaff, or next May at ours?! And of course, 'PSR' can be interchangeable with 'FFP' too..!

I agree with you, they and their ilk deserve everything they get, every problem that's coming down the track to stifle their hopes.

I posted the following a week or so back on the 'Media' thread:

"They were told. The Red Cartel, the clubs, the fans, the media, all with their partial, tribal view of the world.. they were told what it was about, what would happen.

But not one of the stupid f**kers (with the odd media exception.. here's to you Martin Samuel!) had the cojones to ask what I've always called throughout my time in management, the 'Sergeant Wilson Question'; as in 'Do you think that's wise, Captain Mainwaring..?'

They were told but they wouldn't listen and they pressed on regardless. And all the while, we voted or abstained against all the PL measures that they now claim are 'protecting' us at the head of the table.

Stupid, tribal f**kers.. F**k 'em.."

It's been like those ultimate lines from Don Maclean's (incredibly beautiful!) song 'Vincent'.. 'They would not listen,/ They're not listening still/ Perhaps they never will..?'
I remember them waving wads of fake money at GazBaz....

At least they were offered something whereas a city dominance gave them nothing.
They seem happy to take crumbs from the table without having to spend seriously to compete for top places.

Absolutely agree and probably the only reason I could understand for such a blinkered compliance.

I find it unfathomable. What our defence is crying out for is a physically imposing & rapid player. If only we had one.. Oh no my mistake, we have khusanov who ticks those boxes.. Best not play him then eh..
It's not off thread, It's crytic, but subtle;
We won't be playing Khushty until after the verdict is announced!

There’s still time to sell Pannick, the window doesn’t shut for another week.
Meeting with the Director of Legal Services.
DoLS: “ Pannick, I shall be honest with you. We are selling you because you are too slow. We have been waiting for nine months for a verdict. Why have you not chivvied up those judges? Prestwich Blue tells us you have drunk 23 bottles of Haut Brion on expenses, that’s reaching Jack’s level and we rusticated him to Everton. We have an offer from Grimsby which we have accepted. They wanted a buy back clause but we got out of that, thank god.
You see, there are better lawyers on Bluemoon than you: they have all the answers including our best line up vs Brighton.
So we’ll issue the usual guff thanking you for your service and wishing you well. Don’t take it literally.”
Pannick: “Ok guv. Can I clear out my locker? It’s empty bottles mainly. As a matter of interest, how much did Grimsby pay?”
DoLS: “ They gave us a lawn mower.”

STOP PRESS
Pannick joins Grimsby in transfer coup.
“It’s a dream come true. I’ve always wanted to come to Cleethorpes” said a delighted Pannick.

Two could be combined - your Hymnal first, followed immediately by my bouncy Buster Blood Vessel-inspired refrain.

It's beyond ridiculous, everybody just wants it over whatever the outcome.

I agree. Actually my support of city hinges on the decision.

I like to keep a strong set of morals and if it was our rival clubs found guilty of this, we would be be all over them for years of cheating. We would want them out of the game. I think I'd have to keep that same sense of morality when it's closer to home.

If we are found guilty, I'll be extremely ashamed of the club because we always considered ourselves "good" club. It would be hard to lend my support to an outfit that's breaking laws.

I'm sure I won't stop being a city fan per se, but I think my level of investment in it will no longer be there. Maybe time will be a healer but I'll be heartbroken if we are guilty, especially knowing how we would view other clubs if they were in that position.

I think we'll beat it though or at least come to some settlement where all parties come out of it not looking too bad.

You’re so transparent. Another gobshite masquerading as a blue

Best you just fuck off now.
