PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

To be fair the PL and some Club Directors have been totally unprofessional from Day One. It can’t be a surprise. The APT case evidence proved that the PL’s own investigations team was a total shambles and had been overwhelmed by the workload.
Agreed.
I guess in this case I took the post as referring to something where the poster had been in the company of said very senior officials for 2 days in work hours in some kind of official work capacity, not something casual/social. As such I, perhaps naively, thought that in that kind of setting, very senior officials, thus by definition almost at the level of Masters, would be sure in that kind of workplace meeting, even if it was over lunch etc, to be a bit more circumspect/neutral on the whole thing, in the way I can imagine him being if he is on official PL work business.

Anyway, tis all guesswork on my part, and doesn’t really matter.

“We are talking to our clubs about an alternative system. That's not to say we don't think the PSR system works," Masters told an audience at the Leaders sports conference.

Nothing says that the current system is working like scrapping it and replacing it with an alternative system.
The most remarkable thing about the BBC article discussing PSR…..is they haven’t shoehorned in Man City and 115 Charges !

Something definitely in the air…

It worked for the PL and our main rivals, but if that’s no longer true, it’s easy to see why they’d scrap it!

“We are talking to Manchester Utd about an alternative system. That's not to say we don't think the PSR system works, it just doesn’t work well enough to benefit Manchester United and undermine Manchester City" Masters told an audience at the Bent Cunts sports conference.

I actually hate The Premier League and everything it stands for. Nothing matters but money and power.

Squad cost ratio based on revenue and if you're too shit to get into Europe you can outspend your PL rivals who do by 15% until you catch up. Previous poster mentioned Everton, this proposal is designed to benefit one team and one team only.

20 team league, 3 promoted clubs can be discounted each season as their revenue will not be up to PL level to complete. Leaves 16 rival teams of which minimum of 6 will be in Europe based on league positions and lets face it likelihood is all 8 European spots will be taken by PL clubs (apologies to bring up Wigan in 2013/14 in the UEFA as the only PL era exception I can recall).

This goes through and the Rags can play catch up outspending % wise over half the division, no other reason this is being proposed as the new model. Fans need to wake up at the toffees, Villa and St James Park ASAP.

They will have a spending advantage over the clubs outside the CL anyway. And then their 15% extra will be very different to say Brentford's 15%, because of their naturally higher revenue. While on the face of it, it helps those clubs outside the CL places, it does favour the bigger clubs a lot more, and helps ensure they don't stay out of it for too long.

Well timed, with their PSR compliance iffy at the moment. How lucky for Liverpool too, PSR getting scrapped the end of the summer they go and spend 500m in. A year ago the PL were happy to go to court with us over their rules. Now, they need to be 'improved' suddenly.

Just in light of the post, I'd be interested to know if @slbsn has had any information that the club are in receipt of the verdict or otherwise? I know the last we heard was definitely not - as of last Friday PM - has anything changed with that regard?
Nothing since I posted either way. I'd say a good chance the parties receive today or in the next 7 days (speculation not fact).

How quickly after parties receive do you think an announcement will be made? Do City and the PL agree on a certain period of review before announcing anything?

That surely can be said for every week now going forward till it does come out.

Not in the slightest bit a dig at you, just a point on the apparent situation itself.

Yes I think everyone will have agreed a period for checking - 48 hours is a minimum for this I'd say as it is impossible to even read it once properly in less.

Personally, I think the international weeks are more likely than normal weeks.

Almost like the PL board are fucked and are getting one last boost in for their payMasters isn't it before they're toast.

And It's that Friday feeling yet again.

Thank you. I know @Nicholas van Whatsisface explicitly stated that the PL officials he spoke to were likely to be acting in bravado rather than knowledge of fact, and I suppose this adds some weight to that likelihood. Cheers.
I am not surprised by NvW's post. It is broadly consistent with what I have heard. Neither party had the result as of recently and both were confident of prevailing.
