PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

That's exactly what it is now, but the very people who fight against it get attacked by the new bunch who want their popcorn and half ad half scarves.

The difficulties in getting seats next to each other, the cost. I know City have reduced them but for a family its still alot.
New fans parents might not support City, i wouldn't take any of my lads to support dippers or rags.
Then we have the FOC's like me the thought of a 12hr round trip isn't as appealing as it use to be. More piss stops lol takes half an hour to peal myself out of the car etc.
Then I'm treated to a training game of attack v defence by a team that isn't interested in the fans enjoyment. Game after game we see this and to be totally honest it doesn't appeal to me. 12 hrs in a car, a day of work to recover, games get moved to stupid ko times. 3 out of the last 4 games we were due to attend we had to cancel due to move ko time or days moved. You sort of lose interest, feel like match going fans arent important.

Plus its hard to get tickets together and I may end up sat beside some non City tourist.

Only attend one game so far Brighton away, the big games we stand no chance, the lesser park the bus games not apeal at the moment. Im hoping the fire returns and I'll attend every match i can.

I guess City have seen a market for more fans hence the new stand.

But the twist is this, all of us who are matchday fans are also TV viewers of other games, eg I really enjoyed yesterdays show from Stamford Bridge, particularly the ending. I was also 'relieved' when VAR did not intervene re the sumptuos late Chelsea winner. There's always that nuance now with every single goal (not pens), will VAR intervene ?, let's all celebrate the re-starts...

We always were fans of watching other games, and I do mean always.

Being fans of other games shouldn't make fucking legacy fans over for the sake of a quick profit, the Italian game suffered badly after their heyday and the money fucked off.

The money here right now will find a new home when the time comes, after reading that the average age of a season ticket holder at Chelsea is 59 makes you wonder where all of these new traditionally honed new local fans are going to come from.

You are right about Premier League football being a TV entertainment show - prime time viewing every day of the week catering to worldwide audiences.
I know folk who think there’s nothing better than watching a Premiership game on a Saturday or Sunday night. I suspect that most season ticket holders across the land would prefer Saturday 3 pm kick offs to be the norm but we are beyond the point of no return on that one.

That's not cynicism but pure realism, the world has changed and footballs being dragged along, like it or not. The only way is to adapt and that would take something like really cheap ST's but for "locals" and proven club fans with a history. You would need to provide some incentive to actually attend but that leads to the current 10(?) game issues. It's not an easy nut to crack.

Dave I cant talk for Europe, but down here that is just not true, nobody gives a shyte about the 115, we are seen as one of the worlds top clubs and our fan base down here is bigger than the rags and dippers, probably only just behind chelsea.

kind of know where you're coming from. literally, as i live in croydon and used to work in deepest darkest kent. it's a proper long drive home to the north. i tend to drive at night to reduce traffic. but its no fun. now reduced to 6 just home games a season, burnley being my first of the year. the blessing for me is being able to book all 6 in july fairly easily. but like you i'm subject to games being moved. can't have beers at the football if they move it to a sunday as have that long drive back.

Why do people keep repeating this nonsense that the stadium isn't full? 52,249 average over the 3 PL home games with a current limit of 52,900. The fact that Old Toilet, The Other Oil Stadium, WHU, Spuds and Dipperfield have (currently) bigger stadiums is either here nor there.

I was going to say, the last time I looked at this our attendance percentages were about equal to all similar English clubs (and more full than Barcelona, Real etc with admittedly bigger stadiums). Anyway, the club will be seeing 95%+ full stadium as "sold out", hence the new stand. A far cry from mid-2010s where some sections of the ground were closed for cup and some European games.

This will be close to the truth. The line they will peddle is:”We had no choice but to act. We had to protect the integrity of the Premier League.”

I would like to see a press conference scheduled by the club with khaldoon leading the way tbh. It shouldn’t be left to pep. He can have his say at the pre match interview.

This one needs khaldoon front and centre leaving no doubt of our innocence.

Have you ever spoken to anyone whilst you’ve been away that’s not from the UK about City? I have and not one has anyone ever mentioned the charges, not sure they are even aware tbh.

They're in LONDON, makes a massive difference, WSPAM haven't suddenly engaged an extra 30k , it's all new at Everton at the minute,we had a similar demand first season at the Ethiad.
Also we've got fucking Disney land 3 miles down the road. Agree the club don't bloody help tho
