And I've had a second, independent tip-off that the PL will come out of this very badly if and when we ever get to know what transpired.

You are misrepresenting me. I said that it’s not some mass wild conspiracy that will result in us exposing and destroying all of our enemies. I started posting today to counteract some guy who basically said that we all know that the Spurs and Arsenal Chairman have resigned over this, and that Masters is next.

I believe people are deluding themselves about how this is going to play out and this thread is not helping. It’s a simple point.

I hope and trust that we prove ourselves innocent but this is NOT black and white.
 
Doesn't matter, even if we're cleared of 129 the headlines will be "Man City GUILTY of cheating" . "Liverpool and Mourinho demanding to be awarded retrospective PL titles they were nowhere near winning..."

Well last week we heard the PL were also confident so don't think we can read too much into it unless we are going to be found guilty of something minor and both sides try to spin it as a win

No-one had a problem at the time with a three month hearing. No-one at the time had a problem with a long wait for the award, even if most of us thought it would be done by now.

And, most importantly, the standard of proof required for the PL to prove its allegations is still the same as it ever was. And I can't see how they can meet that standard when we have a pretty good idea from CAS of the sort of counter-evidence the club will have presented.

Finally, the idea that the PL wouldn't proceed if they thought they weren't going to win doesn't add up in my book, either. There were plenty of other factors that could have been taken into account in the decision to refer the club to a disciplinary panel, other than just the chance of success.

I would also add that if the EPL had the smoking gun to prove the serious charges, we'd have been hanged drawn & quartered along time ago

The club, on the other hand, is in the latter camp, and I'll repeat what a senior official told me a while ago. That official was close to the group around our owner and this was said while both UEFA and the PL were investigating us. The exact quote was "We know who's behind this. It's the US-owned clubs, plus there's a geopolitical element".

It also wasn't coincidence that Levy's name got mentioned. It's been said that it was him who rang Masters after the CAS verdict to push him into launching the PL's charges, which they did so hurriedly that they got some of those laughably wrong.

Remember what Khaldoon said about knowing who's saying what about us? I doubt that was bluff.

Thanks for all this PB. It certainly does me good to be reminded of the early stages of our troubles. I would go back to the ban and fine UEFA tried to foist on us because we had the temerity to expect a confidential process not to leak like a sieve. Then when they took it before CAS it turned out that their case was based on absolutely NO evidence at all. This, of course, encouraged the PL to inquire on its own bat and god knows how long of high powered detective work culminating in charges of not cutting the grass to the right length while managing to win the FA cup without bothering to enter the competition. So I need to remember these minor details when I'm told yet again that the PL must have some cogent evidence and they wouldn't pursue frivolous cases. We all know and need reminding constantly that several clubs know better than that already.
 
I’ve always said we will be found guilty of non-compliance with handing over information, but there will be no penalty due to technical matters involved and it being immaterial to the case, but will be found not guilty of ANY MATERIAL CHARGES and will escape any punishment whatsoever.

Then, the fans of every other club will say the fix was in, they’ll still call us cheats, and the clubs will be furious with their legal bill!

I’m not sure if the UK Courts allow our legal charges to be paid by the PL, but that would be icing on the cake!

Shortly thereafter, maybe Khaldoon will hold true to his promise to speak out…but I doubt there will be the naming and shaming we would all like to see and hear.

Distribute my prize winnings to Barnardo’s and the kids at Manchester Royal in the name of Richard Masters! Might as well help him soothe the humiliation, poor fella!
 
Re Levy and his direct involvement in the 115 charges, It was confirmed to me by someone two degrees away from City's executive team. He was told Levy was absolutely front and central in demanding the charges on behalf of the cartel clubs. I"m not going to confirm who my source was, but they were a part time PA for someone just one degree away from the exec, someone who had a very senior non exec role within the club. How City knew about Levy, and in particular about some video conference calls (re 115) they were not invited to he didnt say. Just before leaving Levy tried it on with his bid for Savinho, irrespective of the rights or wrongs re the player, Sorano told him to well and truly get fucked.
Hopefully City had hacked into the PL IT system, because let's face it there is absolutely nothing wrong in being hacked is there....

If we're exonerated of the 115 charges the club will be demonised by the British media in the short term.

The red cartel will be livid with the outcome and they will retaliate by paying their client hacks even more money to write lies about us.

Broadcasting outlets like Sly Sports and the BBC will be in full "MCFC dodge justice and these are dark days for football" mode.

However, once the dust settles and the media frenzy subsides there will be a period of reflection and measured assessment. People will have had time to digest the facts and make up their own minds, and I believe the general consensus will change.

I think public opinion may even change and people will see these charges for what they are.
This might encourage other clubs in the league to develop a backbone and stop their kowtowing to the red cartel.

Once you've punched a bully on the nose they're usually quite submissive.
