Just been reading the last 7 or 8 pages all from today, this is the nearest I’ve felt that a verdict is imminent,I’m talking next week but definitely before the Newcastle away game, you can feel the tension/anxiety/fear/trepidation in people’s posts etc……..and like the old pearl and dean cinema adverts…..its coming SOON

then again it’ll probably be sometime in 2026

I’m chilled. There’s probably more to it than we know, but confident in the outcome.

But the PL is a members' club, with some members being more influential than others. I don't accept Stefan's view that it's acting with the greatest integrity entirely independently of those members. And those influential members would love to threaten our very existence. The PL CEO was allegedly selected for the role based on his views on our club and how we would deal with us, after others dropped out of the running. Maybe at least some of those dropped out because they didn't like what they were being asked to do.

The PL's expensive lawyers must have raised the possibility that, for example, the Mancini contract charges are immaterial and would most likely be time-barred. Yet the PL still charged us. That snacks of throwing any shit they can at us, however unlikely that is to succeed. What does that tell you?

This was the same situation with UEFA, and Ceferin was caught between the two camps, trying to mediate and offering us a sweetheart deal that we flatly refused. At that time the club expressed its confidence in the outcome and that confidence was justified. The PL charges (as far as we understand them) are far weaker than UEFA's in my view.
Although I agree there are some members who have greater influence and there have been moves against City by said clubs. If we did have full irrefutable evidence to counter the claims, I'm not sure the process would have taken the full 12 weeks and we would be waiting this long for a verdict. My personal opinion is there is some sensitivity here that may have implications hence they are taking this long. Whether thats on City or the PL, I've no idea. I also am in the camp that City have no clue as to the verdict as per Pannicks email etc.

Those emails that were published post the UEFA charges, if taken in isolation are quite damning and I was told they were genuine emails. I had a chat with someone back in June who is still in contact with people at City after leaving a senior post there last year, he said the legal team were quietly confident and all will hopefully be good. Although I'd expect City to say that to everyone.

You and I have worked across similar industries in large corporations, we both know how they like to spin things when things maybe dicey. Do I fully believe every press release and everything that comes out of the chairman's mouth, "No".

I know you have contacts at City and you are closer to the stuff going on, so I hope everything that you suggest is true. I'm optimistic most days but am also pessimistic too
