PL & CL Squads (updated: Toure omitted from CL squad)

Who should be left out of Champs League Squad ...Fernando, Navas or Yaya ....it will be Yaya me thinks but who should it be ?

It will be Yaya, but it should be Navas. We have 4 players who can play his position. Nolito, Sane, Stering and KDB. We have 3 who can play Yaya's in Silva, KDB and Gundogan. 2 of whom are injury prone... I know many don't think of Gundogan as Injury prone. I do :P But either way, from a central ball possession standpoint we need Yaya as safety for Silva and Gundogan. I'd have gone with Nasri over all 3. But unfortunately :(

No way should it be Fernando or Navas who both have very specialised jobs and both do this very well. We've won 5/5 under Pep. If not for Navas it'd be 3/5 thanks to his assists vs Sunderland and Steaua at home. He is an important player. Fernando is also vital as shown against Arsenal at home and both PSG games last season when he was solid apart from the mistake between him and Joe. Touré is amazing, but only sometimes. I'd rather have two players who are reliable and pretty good almost all of the time. Plus Touré is clearly planning to leave next season regardless and has very little time left at the top level, but with Navas' energy you get the idea he could go for three or four more years.

Navas is planning to leave too. My sense is that Navas leaves when Jesus gets here in January. We can't have 2 saviors at one time. Just not done :) Personally, I'd keep Yaya on the power of what he has achieved here and his immense reservoir of talent that can be explosive when rested.
