Player Abuse / Plastic Fans (Ederson’s deleted Twitter)

Nothing is going to change. It was the same with Willy Caballero and to some extent Claudio Bravo.
The abuse Claudio Bravo received after replacing Joe Hart was an utter disgrace, and shameful from the fans, if they had issues, give the sh1t to Pep for replacing Hart.

The recent abuse on this board alone for Ederson is shameful, a player from day one whom has been magnificent and played a pivotal role in our success.

As others have said, be careful what you wish.

Ederson has deleted twitter? Elon Musk wont be too happy, he recently paid a fortune for that shit

Like I said in a different thread, I am a little concerned about him ever since I noticed the way he reacted after the whistle was blown at the end of the Villa game. He did not seem happy, and then I noticed the same odd mood during the celebrations and in the dressing room videos. Due to past misunderstandings, I will refrain from using certain words. I also find it very strange that he had a convenient “injury” with the national team when was certain to play the next day as Allison would be given a break. Is he okay? All that and now this social media incident are concerning to me
I agree with your words, Ederson was not himself at the end of the Villa game, hopefully due to the guy having almost 2 seasons of constant football and little time to relax and get back to his homeland.

Hopefully a few weeks back in Brazil will recharge his batteries.

He’s the best out there, he’s just won the golden gloves for the third time in a row, anyone abusing him is a know nowt ****…
Constructive criticism of a particular performance is fine but abusing him or any other City player is out of order …!!
As others have said, most of the cunts abusing him couldn’t spell City, let alone darken the stadium doors..!!

Some of you need to stop burying your heads in the sand.

It's not just Twitter. It's not just new fans. It's not just fans who don't go to games. It's not just foreigners or non-Mancunians.

We have plenty of match-going long-term local fans on these forums that contribute to the problem just as much in many different player threads.

What a truly great and mentally strong keeper we have.

“We as professionals, sometimes we fail,” he adds. “We need to learn from our mistakes and keep our heads calm.

“I made a lot of mistakes in my career, and I'll probably make many more. Through time, I managed to prepare myself mentally for mistakes to not let them affect me.

“Whether I make it right or wrong, I'm always calm, it's part of football.

“When you make it right, you are praised. When you fail, you are criticised. I don't let criticism get me down or praise go to my head.”

We’ve always had that element. It’s just more noticeable online.
Yep. Look at the match threads on here. It's ludicrous, the overreaction to a "bad" result/performance. I remember the game at Palace, in particular, being a low point. I swear to God, some of these people have no idea about football, and that even the most talented of squads (which we're very fortunate to have) can have an off day, without their own fans screaming for them to be banished to the wilderness. And it's very odd that a lot of these "fans" have been seldom seen in this past amazing 6 years. It seems that they live to criticise City. Yes, freedom of speech. But does that give you the right to needlessly abuse players? The same applies to the players' social media accounts. I'm amazed that they bother with these accounts, given the idiots they attract. Look at the countless examples of racist abuse posted on these accounts. Why would you subject yourself to that?
