Had prolonged periods in the first team last year and we saw the benefits. He's played the last couple and was excellent today.
He's a very useful player when used correctly. Just doesn't fit Pellegrini's full back rotation strategy.
I've got a bit of a soft spot for Kolorov even though criticism aimed at him is normally warranted. I was made up he put in such a good performance, think he'll be gone in the summer and that's the right decision. He'll go with a thank you and good luck from me though.JoeMercer'sWay said:he's the kind of player who as he's on the borderline of being too slow, so he needs a run of games to get his motor up to speed and we saw the benefit today.
I would also add that because he was up against Dier, hardly a natural attacking RB, and Lamela, who kept diving inside onto his left, that he had a slightly easier time of it, but he played really well regardless and contributed to other areas to help the rest out.
Think he'll leave but that's only because Clichy is HG and has his spot guaranteed for his career.
