Perhaps. But his decision-making and passing was so awry my take on it was that his head was elsewhere. Possibly a personal issue. Who knows, could have had a barney with his missus via text before the game.
Whatever it was his mind wasnt tuned into the game and it was a very uncharacteristic performance from Fernando. Doubt we'll see the likes again from the lad.

Yaya gives us control in the midfield. Without him we don't have it. He was very poor today and should be dropped next game on the back of that.

I think he looked rusty after coming back from injury .. looked lost at times but he will bounce back.

Clearly off the pace today. Hopefully, he will improve. But with a fit Fernandinho, Nasri and Yaya, he wouldn't get a start for me.

Wrong. He had a few bad touches in a game after he has been out for some time. Balance that against his previous excellent performances and give the guy a break. Why get on his back….he will come back stronger with or without Yaya
