I like him but someone was telling me the other day (and hes right). That Nasri is the only one of our players that other teams think is a cock. The rest of them all seem to be quite popular with opposing fans

Nothing wrong with being a cock.

spot on..something is wrong if you don't have one.

Re: Samir Nasri

He's not banking on going to the world cup after falling out with Deschamps. He says that he'll just go on holiday and watch it on the telly! He also says that he'll settle for winning titles and trophies and playing for City. Good lad, love him.

This could work out well for us. He'll return fresh.

Shame about the WC, but let's be honest France will probably exit early.
Yeah true, he's one of the best grafters in our team. He deserves to go though and if there's better midfielders than him in the France squad I'm yet to see them.

Re: Samir Nasri

What I've been seeing happening this season which did not happen in the last two is that, rather than always playing in Silva's shade, and only really being able to express himself when Silva isn't around, i.e. injured, Samir in fact seems to be learning to play with Silva. There was a moment round about November/December I think when the two of them were on fire, their interchanges were of a precision and rapidity that was breathtaking, and that, combined with Yaya and Ferny, was just blowing teams away in midfield. More of that next season please, Sami (and Merlin).

What I think about this, as someone who lives in France and sees him interviewed in French, is that Sami has bent over backwards to show that he can be polite and controlled with the media. Short of wearing sackcloth and ashes there isn't much more he could have done to show his availabity to Deschamps. If France are going to do without him then more fool them. He is the most skilled French midfielder of his generation. Valbuena is not up there in terms of sheer quality, or anyone else, for that matter. They in fact need him more than he needs them.

He's not as bad as people seem to think. The France thing and the move to City, obviously all about money, just helped spiral his image. Before he was occasionally petulant at Arsenal but nothing to get too worked up about.

I think he moved to win trophies because he sure wasn't winning them at Arsenal.

He did, it was a sarcastic remark relating to the rest of the footballing population.
Considering Arsenal as it stands have won nothing and he has won 3 trophies, a community shield and played in an FA cup final since he came here, his decision has been justified.

Oh gotcha! Sorry, my sarcasm-detector is off today. ;)

Re: Samir Nasri

I am disappointed for him not making the French World Cup squad. This season he has shown signs he is maturing in to the player he is capable of being.

He should come out with a tweet supporting Algeria for the World Cup!
