Except he's not. Nani has never been a first team regular for the rags. Never established himself. Nasri has been instrumental in us winning how many trophies?

I guess calling him our Nani is a bit like calling Milner our Park Ji Sung - only as a Blue I like to avoid using a rag player as an example or a metaphor for one of our own. Especially when slagging one of our own off which is what you're currently doing in a not very subtle or informed way.

Of course he is mate. I love Jimmy, top pro etc. However he isn't as good a footballer as Nasri, plain and simple. They both however are important to our squad and should both be respected equally. Only it seems Nasri struggles to gain the respect of some because he's a "French fanny" or whatever the xenophobic putdown of the day is from the cheap seats.

Personally I will start Milner over Nasri. I have observed Nasri for a few years now and the same problems seems to persist. He does not have that mental composure and mental integrity to be called upon when it really matters especially against particular teams. So I will rather choose a player that is at least reliable and trustworthy and always fully involved and not detached or goes missing when things gets tough.

Nasri is a good player and has been involved with the team over the past few years of success but I will say that he has had a good role but not a deciding or significant role.

Milner on the other hand has been consistently underrated and undervalued manifested in phrases used to describe him such as ''hard worker'', grafter, team player and all this cloaks his technical ability and his footballing talent. He has showed it consistently especially in the big games that he has the dribbling ability, and technical ability as well as the integrity of approach and professionalism.

You seem to find it difficult to get through any post without some throw away remark aimed at the poster rather than the topic...Have you considered counselling?

Re: Samir Nasri

Came back from his jollies woefully out of shape.

Hopefully on his return he can attain a level of fitness that one would expect of someone being paid £150K a week to be an athlete.

He divides opinion, some may disagree, but I've never been convinced about his desire and bottle.

By whom the fans or the management,

I suppose you are asking a question. About Milner being underrated and undervalued.

Well everyone is entitled to their opinions including management and Milner stats when it comes to starting will indicate that he is not rated at least as highly as Nasri by the management. Although sometimes it takes time or progress before a manager sees the worth of a player. But as I said the management have their views on Milner and I think he is being undervalued. Hopefully that will change and personally I prefer Milner over Nasri

As for the fans, this clearly divides opinions. Many sees his worth as more than just a grafter and hard worker whilst others sees him as just that and I for one believe his skill set should be given more credit and appreciated beyond that.

So by both.

Obviously a good footballer but is he right for us. Is he played in the right position? Is he a luxury? He can pass, and receive, he works hard that is not, repeat NOT in question. I just feel when confronted with 10 men he often makes bad decisions, slows the attack down. If you compare him to Lampard.....well different world! Personally if we COULD get Isco or like, I'd let him go. He may even be wasted with us because of Merlin. Just my opinion. Dont want to slag a blue off, he is a great player.

Yes he is right for us. Until we get a better player.

Re: Nasri

Nasri has been brilliant for two years now, carried us in a few games lately.

Why start a new thread?
I know I've done it in the past but not for a thread that existed well before hand.
