Re: Samir Nasri

Just like silva, he needs the ball at his feet a lot to dominate. When Mancini played both of them together, nasri usually can't shine. Will be interesting when silva is healthy what pellegrini does? Play both or bench nasri?

I have just watched the first hour of the derby again. I knew beforehand that Nasri had played well but I did not realise how well!!!!. He seemed to be involved in everything and based on the last few games he has suddenly become a very important part of the team.

I think we all thought he was a great player when he signed from Arsenal but for me he has never really proved what a talented player he is.........until now. He just looks so up for it and a much better player........keep it up Samir.

he was involved in every single goal. the guy has been playing well for months.

he plays shit when the strikers and the fullback aren't making runs. i've always said that we need an attacing fullback not a defensive type like clichy. the overlapping fullback allows nasri to cut inside smoothly.
I think those two link up more then anyone one else on the left side .

Good work, thanks for that.

Re: Samir Nasri

If you think about it, when Nasri has had a 'bad game' it's just been a matter of him not getting involved enough. It's not like other players, who are constantly giving the ball away and getting burned. And a big reason why he didn't get involved enough was because he was pushed out wide with no freedom to roam. He's just not as effective if he can't use his movement.

I honestly think we have a guy here, who could easily be one of the world's best. He has just about every quality you could want in a skill player and he really understands and loves the game. So I think it's pretty foolish of us as fans to not give every shred of confidence he could possibly need to reach that level.
