I still think he takes the safe option far too often Tolm. Lets be honest, his goal last night where has picked the ball up in the middle of the park, driven forward, beating men and smashing it in from 20 yards isn't the norm. if he had taken 6 touches to move 5 yards and then played a 3 yard pass to Silva, that would have been the norm.
I like Nasri, he is a very good player but for actual contribution in terms of goals/assists for an attacking player he doesn't produce what someone of his ability should. On this basis I think you will find as many City fans who would happily replace him as would make him captain!
This is a bizarre way to answer to the OP with an off-topic subject, yet, even if you are entitled to your own opinion by your own rights,
facts and statistics prove you wrong, way wrong.
Last season Nasri was leading the league as most creative midfielder with most chances created:

Is it not what you mainly ask for a creative midfielder to deliver ?
Now back to topic.
I also think that he is captain material.
Since Pellers' gesture, Nasri showed from day-one that he was his corporal on the pitch.
Not only do you see him give tactical directions to his comrades, but the hunger he shows for victory ( and the frustration that comes without it )
is second to none.
He thrives for great achievements.
And what about his talking : the most honest and least double-speaking i have seen from a player since ages.
You got my vote.
